I don't think he's stupid. I think he's too trusting of the people he loves, which might come off as that sometimes. I think people normally would not expect their closest friends or lovers to be plotting behind their backs. Some people refuse to believe that even when the signs are all in front of them.
I think it's about time they give us more details about Charlie's motivations and plan. I feel like that might ease a lot of people's frustration with him! It's been long enough. Give us more details so we can understand him.

I, too, am someone who came into this show with zero prior knowledge about anyone, and I think people who dislike Pooh's "acting" are not being honest in their reasoning. I think it's either because they wanted Nut to play Charlie, have read the novel an maybe the show is doing something different and they don't like it (idk since I haven't read it) or are not open minded enough to enjoy any other dynamic other than tall sexy top/cute sub bottom and that's a shame, because different dynamics have different charms and personally, I'm having lots of fun with this series!

I don't know why they thought it was a good idea to add those obscene sound effects at every sex scene, it takes you completely out of it, and it doesn't help that the scenes are super bad to begin with. The same goes for the japanese voiceovers. How are we supposed to take this seriously when they aren't? The english lines are honestly so random and unnecessary. I can't comment on the plot, as there's so little of it.
