Even if things are normal in one country, it doesn’t make it right. Where I am from there were normalised so many bad things, and I couldn’t see them until I left. Now I live in another country and I can’t believe how many horrible things are treated like normal. It’s really concerning to me that you say complaining about those things are dumb. In many countries they do so many bad things, for example to women, for them is normal, so does it mean people from outside the world can’t raise their voices against it?
Apart from that, in other comment they talk about different kinds of relationships, and I understand that, I also understand the character’s backgrounds in this series. But even in a dom/sub relationship, there are behaviours that are unhealthy. And that happens when a lot of lines are crossed , damaging the people involved in that relationship. And I see that in this show.

“Harassment: is behaviour which is intended to trouble or annoy someone, for example repeated attacks on them or attempts to cause them problems.”
Those are definitions of those situations (I just found on dictionaries, I didn’t make them up) that to me is clear in the way one of the characters is treating the other. Constantly abusing the other in from of the class, telling him words like monsters, or disgusting, hitting him with his foot or throwing him to the floor, bullying him along with the rest of the group. How can those things be healthy? (And no, even if you have problems to communicate or if your intentions are good, that doesn’t make it okay) And these are only a few examples, because the other character also has a lot of problems.
Lastly, shows with problematic situations like this one are usually made to create discussions about what is happening in it. So I’d be nice if people understand that they don’t have also the right to call each other childish or dumb or just dismissing their opinions because we “shouldn’t “ complaint.

About your second point, I don’t mind watching a show with toxic relationships, or people with flaws, you can see that all the time in movies or series, even very popular ones. But it doesn’t change the fact that the toxicity is there. So I can like a series because it’s entertaining, but at the same time I can be aware that their behaviour is just not okay. And that was the whole point of my comment. With every episode I watched, I found this two characters and their relationship disturbing. It seems that most of people think they’re cute, and I can’t understand how.
Lastly, if you feel happy buying some drinks to your partner is perfectly okay, but that not all that happened in this show. It’s not okay that the other person harass you, humiliate you and treat you like a slave in front of other people while asking for those drinks. And yes, it was clear for me why he did that and his feelings, but it still doesn’t make it okay. No matter what your traumas are, it doesn’t change your actions. So yes, i liked that the series was entertaining and different, but I won’t ever see their relationship as cute or fluffy with so much abuse between them.
I started watching this series without knowing anything about it. And I just finished it today. I have to say it’s a good series in terms of acting and focus on the characters. But it was really hard to watch this level of physical and psychological aggression and toxicity in their relationship. I have met couples in real life with similar behaviours, and their relationship is like living in hell. At the end, even though I understand the internal problems of each of them and their situations and background, I don’t think what they feel is love, it’s an unhealthy obsession and attraction. Maybe serious therapy could help them improve as a couple, and more important, to deal with each own internal problems and traumas. So at the end for me this was just a story of two self-destructing and problematic people with serious psychological problems getting into a toxic relationship.

Yeah. The Gifted is a very good series and very popular too. Specially the first season. Highly recommended. It’s not BL though. Nanon’s acting there is really good. Not only him, but the rest of the cast too. But I have to say I fell in love even more with his acting in Bad Buddy. Maybe because the character is completely different.

Yes, but in my case I’m starting to feel annoyed. Specially when someone talks, they do a pause (usually long) then the other person speaks. It feels so unnatural. Like a rehearsal or robots talking. It even cross my mind that the actors may feel uncomfortable just having to look at each other for so long, counting 10 seconds before they reply or finish a sentence. Lol
