How do series like this still get made? Painfully dull. Total lack of an interesting, or even discernible storyline. Characters with zero appeal. You can see by looking at the director's profile he's been involved with some abominations and this fustercluck seems no different. Long pauses. Awkward interactions. Forget Physical Therapy, this should be Not For Resuscitation.
To be honest I thought this was just going to be some sweet and fluffy nonsense, not in a bad way, but I certainly wasn't expecting the depth and complexity that we've been given. There's definitely more to the story than just a teddy bear coming to life. Also, seeing the episodes were going to be 90 minutes I thought there would be a lot of filler or they would drag, but surprisingly they don't feel too long and manage to hold my attention. I'm curious to see where the story goes and how the side plots will come together.
Wait, wait... what "he was in a domestic partnership with Fluke" does mean? Sorry, I don't get it. Does it mean…
It usually means, but not always, a same sex couple that is in a committed relationship similar to a marriage, but without the legal or official recognition.
Wait Fluke? This Fluke??? Woah did not know that they were both queer.
Yes. I saw the name and thought, wait, that's Fluke! I have no idea if it is actually their accounts, but it has them in a partnership since 2019. Would be interested to see if anyone knows for sure.
I don't know if this has been discussed on here before but I stumbled upon Oat's (Mayom/Barista) Facebook profile and it said he was in a domestic partnership with Fluke. Is this right? How unlucky am I that two of my potential future husbands are in a relationship with one another? ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
If this series doesn't bring you joy you have a heart of stone. The story is pretty simple but it was beautifully executed. There was just enough sweetness without being sickly and just enough humour without being silly. I loved both Mork and Tawan, as well as Boss and Toy. I legit think the barista deserves better though. He is seriously hot AF. Oh, and the bickering uncles were perfect.
I think this series generates an excessive amount of bile in me because it was a series I was looking forward to. The preview looked fantastic and I was happy to see it finally airing, but what we got was hugely disappointing.
just want to tell new watchers, don't trust the rating, it isn't the best series ever but it is better than 7.8…
I just can't trust the ratings on here. A lot comes down to personal preference but I've often seen horrendous series getting the same or better ratings than objectively better ones.
There was a lot to like about this series. Generally the performances were very good and it was beautiful visually. The story had some depth and the characters were interesting. I definitely think this was an underrated series, but I have to admit I found the last few episodes a bit of a letdown. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it just feels like we were about to hit a point where everything came together nicely and ended up just missing the target. But having said that, it was miles ahead of a lot of the other rubbish we've seen.
I dropped this after episode 2, but was wondering if there was anyone still watching who was not enjoying this initially, but who changed their mind after sticking with it? Maybe I'll wait until it has finished and see how it turns out before considering picking it up again.
What bs did they try to pull with Sun and why do we care about Phupha’s financial/mother problem? That was so…
His mother is horrible and yet he thinks he needs to stay and look after her. I would be out of that house the first chance I got and let the debt collectors go after her.
The underlying premise for this series is good and it's the reason why I started watching it. However, I don't know if it is the execution, the performances, or a combination of factors, but I just find it boring. Going by the comments on YouTube, you would think Force and Book have the most explosive chemistry that has ever existed, but I just don't see it. I think Force puts in a decent performance, but Book as Theo is so dull. I can excuse new actors, but for someone given a central role, he just doesn't cut it.
It's not the best series ever made, but it is watchable. Each episode ends up being like 15 minutes once you take out the opening and closing titles, so even if you don't love it you aren't wasting much time watching it.
I don't quite know what to make of this series. It's not terrible, but it could definitely be better. I think part of the problem is that you start to get into the story and then suddenly it's over. Maybe it would have been better as 4 longer episodes instead. Anyway, I'm going to stick with it and see how it goes.
