Frustratingly stupid! I couldn't even watch the whole episode without skimming through the second half. So Mek would rather leave Kim confused and hurt instead of telling him he's OMG going overseas to study? WTAF??? I know this is a series but do they have to have characters act so dumb. And Bear telling Bomb that Mek wanted to deal with it on his own? Yeah, because Mek is handling this with utmost skill and sensitivity by... carrying Kim's books. I facepalmed so hard I have a concussion.

The only thing that went some way in redeeming this episode was the show of actual affection between Bomb and Bear and Lee and Park. Not this infuriatingly cringe sniff kissing that you see elsewhere.

Just watched episode 6 and hurting from the cringe. I didn't really have any expectations going into this series, so I'm disappointed as such, but see it as a missed opportunity.

Where do I start? Despite having mad bondage sex with Kamol, Kim gets all coy when he gets kissed on the cheek? I know that the same story in every single BL ever (except for the mad bondage sex part), but it's just tiresome. Can they not have any confident characters?

Danai's function. Oh boy. Such a classy affair that Cherry remembers to bring her dietary supplement! Product placement in these things is usually conspicuous AF, but that was just embarrassing.

Did I totally miss the reason why Kim is suddenly the live-in sex slave of Kamol? Yeah, Kamol has feelings for him, but Kim's just giving up his life to be a kept man for someone who he doesn't even seem to like that much?

Oh, and not knowing a single thing about this, I knew from the very beginning there would be a kidnapping.

Look, I appreciate at the very least they've tried something different with this, but they've just missed the mark. The subject matter lends itself to what could be quite a dark and intense series, but it's One Shade of Meh. Kom and Baiboon is the one thing keeping me going now.

I don't think I'll ever be up to date with this. It's not terrible enough for me to give up on it, but at the same time I find myself at times questioning why I'm still watching it. Kim and Kamol have an inexplicable relationship. Why the hell is Kim staying at the place of someone he appears to have no interest in? Yeah, I know they'll end up together happily ever after, but their relationship as it stands is so dull. There really isn't a spark between them and just feels really unhealthy.

I've seen Yoon in other series and found him okay, but he just doesn't have the intensity to play this role. But this series is a bit of mess so it wouldn't really matter who played him to be honest.

And this comment isn't restricted to this series, but I'm so sick of when they play the same pieces of music over and over again during a series. That same piece of piano music that plays alongside Kamol being Kamol shits me to tears. Okay, they probably don't have the budget but show some restraint when using it.

Just treat it as mafia parody and i promise you that your viewing experience will improve
I just watched another episode with this mindset and it made it far more tolerable. If they hadn't tried to make this so serious it could have been quite good.

Still working my way through this but the one thing that makes any of these 'mafia' series hard to take is that they have actors who wouldn't look out of place in a boyband and yet we're supposed to believe they are hardened criminals. I doubt they would break a sweat, let alone someone's kneecaps.

It improves, although it still retains its cheesy/cringe factor. Entertaining.
That's good to know. Despite its obvious flaws, at least it's different so that's why I'll probably stick with it.

I'm way behind in this and only just watched the second episode. It's still pretty cringe, but the second episode was slightly better than the first. I'm still a bit confused AF with some of what's going on, but the slight awfulness of it keeps me watching.

Title My Secret Love Spoiler
WTAF? Why did Mek look like Kim told him to eat his own excrement instead saying he liked him? I'm sure it'll be explained, but why are they all sweet with one another and then when one of them actually says the bleeding obvious it causes a reaction like that? I suppose they have another 6 episode to fill and they are going to fill it with nonsense.

the whole drama that is coming doesn't make much sense. i would rather have them being lovey-dovey for more 4…
I think a big problem is that they brought them together too soon, so now that they are together they need to throw stupid obstacles in the way. I always hate when they resort to unnecessary conflict.

This was always kinda mediocre and now I'm just bored. I get so confused with the whole "we are not official"…
I could *somewhat* understand Kim's reaction if he found Mek and Pam having an intimate dinner, but his friggin' sister was at the table as well. Mek had just tended to him while he was sick, but instead of any degree of logic he jumps to ridiculous conclusions. I completely understand this is a series, so it's not going to be 100% realistic, but if I was interested in someone and they made irrational assumptions, as characters frequently do in these series, I could not be bothered pursuing a relationship with them.

I don't hate this, but I really don't know what I'm watching when I'm watching it. There's really nothing that sets this apart and it just feels like they are ticking off the boxes. The premise was pretty thin and lead to the couple getting together rather quickly, so the rest of the series is mostly filler. It wasn't like I was looking forward to this or had any expectations, so it's not much of a loss.

Started episode 8 now. Can I just say that the village chief is an a*hole for not telling the hospital to Fah…
My thoughts exactly. It's lucky I have two fists so I can punch both the chief and Sincere in the face at the same time.

If you watch him back in the Ugly Duckling series, damn he's a hottie in that!
I think it was Ugly Duckling or Room Alone where I first fell in love with Mek. I really should make more of an effort to remember where I first saw my future husband. 😍

I think I enjoyed this more than Star in My Mind. It was still kinda dull and not much about it stood out as special,…
Spot on. The original preview had me really looking forward to this, but the disappointment of SIMM set my expectations to zero. It was better than SIMM, but overall pretty forgettable.

It was an okay ending. I only have a problem with Fah never apologizing for ghosting Prince while he was sick…
The lead up to the ending was just dumb. In this day and age it is soooooo easy to track down people if you really want to. If they hadn't already added one another on some sort of social platform I'd be most surprised.

The chief not telling Fah which hospital Prince was in sent my rage off the charts. Oh, thanks for helping my sick villagers, but you can get stuffed when you want to know which hospital Prince is in because Sincere, of all people, asked me not to tell you. 😤

Although this was not as good as I was hoping, it was better than SIMM, but ultimately I'm glad it's over. The last two episodes were... hmm... not great. The let's throw a spanner in the works at the last minute but give you a happy ending trope is completely worn out. Overall I didn't hate it, but this was definitely in the miss rather than the hit category.

Although I have liked Aun in other series, he certainly gave Sincere the most punchable face in this. It infuriated me no end that with Prince on death's door, Sincere and Fah are having a dick measuring contest over who cares about him more. Of equal prickishness is the village chief, who's off gallivanting on "errands" whilst the villagers are sick. Then to cement his arseholedness, when Fah asks which hospital Prince is in, he won't tell him because the see you next Tuesday he doesn't know from a bar of soap has told him not to tell him. What a slap in the face! Also, I have never forgiven him for slaughtering the pig.

Anyway, will I be watching the special episode? Absolutely not.

I just want to know. The people that gave it a rating of 8. I really want to know how this traumatic drama has…
I've never once rated a series on here because the ratings mean nothing. I've watched series that I've thought were total garbage and seen them rated 8 and I've also watched series that I've thought were amazing and yet they still end up with an 8.

I read the other drama of the series was bad... do I have to watch it to see this? Since I know they appear, or…
It's not really necessary to watch SIMM. There is some minor overlap, but for the most part you won't have missed anything crucial if you only watch SIYH.

This show lifts my spirits after a week of shooting, stabbings, a$$ whoopings, and hot sex. Except for royalty…
I was going to say you must have an interesting social life. 😝
