For me it's the fact that they have zero chemistry and their scenes just feel shoehorned in to *remind* you that the series are connected. I definitely didn't go into analysing the lyrics of the song, which I didn't even know, but even that can't make me put up with Dao's appearance in SIYH. But as always, people like/dislike series for a whole range of reasons and I'm totally okay with it.

It completely takes me out of it. At least when Fah was calling him you could somewhat justify the interminable scene with Dao and Kluen that followed, but showing Dao receiving the obligatory BL sponge bath and being fed porridge or whatever felt totally forced.

The fact that I actively dislike his character shows he's doing a good job. But that middle parting of his hair needs to go. Does absolutely nothing for him.

Still enjoying this. Not perfect, but if anything is to be gained from the tedious scenes with Dao and Kluen, is that SIYH is so much better than SIMM. It may not live up to my original expectations, but I'm sooooooooo glad it wasn't the massive disappointment of SIMM.

Well, I know it's a series, but I'm so tired of this unhealthy notion that a couple must be together every waking moment for them to have a proper relationship. Sometimes you won't have time for one another which is totally fine, but there's a massive difference between this idea that you can either spend all your time together or never see one another. Yeah, so probably just Sincere making trouble, but he can sincerely get wrecked.

Anyway, probably just venting to distract myself from me not being the one kissing Mek. 😭

I'm not from Thailand either, but I think the idea of asking permission to pursue someone is supposed to be romantic, but using the expression "hit on you" sounds sleazy to me. I guess it might be the closest fit in terms of translation, or not as old-fashioned as court, but if someone asked if they could hit on me I'd hardly swoon. But having said that I might need to take what I can get. 😆😭

Unfortunately, I think the candle is the only thing getting blown in that bedroom.

I'm left wondering if Prince doesn't really have much of a backstory beyond a bad breakup? First thought was he was some rich kid, but that didn't seem to go anywhere. Next it was the health crisis that turned out to be little more than lightheadedness. There's still time, but we're getting the point where it won't be addressed or just rushed through in the second-last episode.

My expectations for this were at about zero at the end of SIMM, but I am genuinely enjoying it. Seriously the only parts that I don't like are the ones which involve Dao and Kluen. I don't care that you show me them wake up together in bed, I will NEVER believe that they actually did anything. A sniff kiss on your birthday? GTFO.

Anyway, I do have a bit of a soft spot for Mek (or is it hard?) but he's really looking so handsome in this. Maybe it was unfortunate (or fortunate) framing or Prince was doing exactly what I'd be doing, but while he was painting that banner he did take a glance at what was at eye level. 🥵

They are both in different bodies? I feel my brain hurting already.

I've only seen the first episode, which surprisingly I managed to watch in one sitting, so I can only base my thoughts on that. Trying to be positive, I like that it's not just another typical BL, but having said that I wish when they chose to tackle difficult or challenging subject matter they would fully commit to it. There's a lot of scope to make this quite dark and intense, but it just comes across as 50 Shades of Beige. Another problem I have with a lot of these series is that they never really give much a back story to the characters, so you just have to try and guess what's going on. I really wonder how they'll make this fill 12 episodes.

I've really tried to give this a go, but it is so exceedingly dull. I thought the episode length would make this easier to watch but I sat through 5 minutes of the second episode and felt the energy drain from my body. I like Net a lot, but even he can't help me persevere with this. Dropped.

I rolled my eyes hard. Is it in the code of conduct for BL series to have characters protest any sign of affection whatsoever?

This isn't anything particularly groundbreaking, but I'm just happy it was an improvement over SIMM, which isn't saying much in itself, but I do like this a lot more. Anyway, so I guess Prince's story remains a mystery for another week, but at least we know he doesn't have a case of volunteer-teacheritis.

Even though I've liked Mek since Room Alone and Ugly Duckling, I must say he's looking especially handsome in this.

I did have my reservations about watching this because I thoroughly enjoyed the Japanese original, but fortunately it wasn't an exact copy. Having said that I did find this a lot heavier and even depressing at times. The original seemed to balance the humour and emotion a lot better, with the absurdity of the situation played up a lot more.

I don't know what it is about this series, but I find the episodes drag a little. It isn't the worst thing, but there's just something about it that I can't quite put my finger on. And 12 episodes... sigh.

This isn't the best thing ever but I'm genuinely enjoying it and not just enjoying when compared to SIMM. It definitely has a better story and better acting, but if only they could dispense with the insufferable scenes with Dao and Kluen.

Anyway, did anyone else's eyes stray somewhere when Fah was wearing that blue suit at the wedding? 🥵

This is so much better than SIMM and if it wasn't for the scenes with Dao, I could quite happily forget that it ever existed. Seeing we have the same director, it must have been the screenwriter and actors that let down that last series because this is such an improvement. We still have a fairly simple premise, but they've put more depth into the story and the actors are clearly better. My fears this would disappoint me have been averted.

I would have said my least favourite scene was the pig slaughter, that was until Dao and Kluen popped up. Their chemistry is more lifeless than Gong. RIP 🐷

Considering I could spend the equivalent of 8 episodes finding fault with SIMM, if the only issue I've had so far with SIYH is that Fah's character doesn't feel like a completely natural progression I think I will be able to live with it. 😆
