how they say it lacked chemistry?

For me, Jung So-Min always built good chemistry with her co-star, she always nailed it. This is too.

I cant see why people said they're lacked of chemistry

it gradually calmed down, i think from ep4 and above.

Ep 1-2 just to set the comedy tone, showing FL with her absurdity. 5 to 8 the vibe is different.

Eh, i just remember. In previous episodes he prepare his lines to explain to Seok-Ryu, that he like her in the past, when he is too young and emotional. I think thats better response to her, rather than screwed the letter in front of her then avoided her and being harsh to her whole time. Think its his anger because he busted when he is not ready?

Confessing and pursue is different things. Like he can tell her later, without being harsh to her. He affraid he changed their relationhsip, or losing her friend, but by keep the burden he still change their relationship anyway.

change is definetly, nobody still the same. He overthink it.

When i was young, i like my friend, romantically. We closed friend, she liked me too. I can guess her feeling to me, but i dont know if she know my feeling. I kept it, i dont want to date my close friend because my romantic relationship always end in broken ways, dont want it happen with her too.
Years later she confess she liked me, but she have moved on. She never know i liked her too, or why i prefer not to date her.

Probably not same situation as this drama. But no, its just foolish not to tell her his true feeling. He'll lift the burden when he confess it

You worked so hard when young, times goes fast, suddenly you are an adult. Stressed, depressed, then you take everything slowly. Enjoy the time, seeing what is around, then old memories replay. You like the feeling when you are young, your friends, your kitchen smell, your old neighboorhood vibes, etc.
When you have wonderfull experience when young, then depressed as an adult, you probably want to go back to your past happy self. But life goes on. The time, the world, everything around you keep moving, only you who pause it by relive old memories. You trapped in past feelings.

This kind of issue always played in drama, a character keep a fact because they dont want their partner/ family/ friends know the truth. Its romantic in a show, but not in real life. Pabo

5&6 more mellow and emotional than 4 1st. The vibes are different, less comedy too.
Another part of their past unveiled, their family's issue brought to the table too

He affraid he changed their relationship, or lose it, but his act is definetely changed it.
Have he heard that change is a certain things?
Everything will be changed, he better take the risk, he changed it in the first place anyway, changed it to awkward one.

Yess, she look more mature. I guess something changed with her chin or cheek. She is still beautifull, just not sure if its the same person.

Related with your comment and FML experience. I feel burnout experience too. At that time i just want to stop my daily activities (work and social life) and look past.
I just want to go to my childhood home, look around, live slowly and enjoy every moment. Just want to stop for a while and look around.

Nah, in some east Asian social, they will blame the female if their partner is cheating. Usually they will blame her for not treat him good enough, they will point that something wrong with her.

Losing her job is embarassing, her partner cant accompany her in that situation, worse he cheat!

She can't never tell that to her family, she won't find consolation. It can be worse. She thinks it better that her mom didnt know, easier to her that she said she is the one who cheat than the otherwise. She can take the punch, but she cant let her mom know her situation in US.

Seok-Ryu acted like a beast, crazy and wild but has kindness that she never show.

When Seung-Ho mentioned he won't let his design company go bankrupt, he said the reason is he cant see Seok-Ryu wearing clothes with animal pattern. When Seok-Ryu asked why, did he affraid that she look overly sexy in that kind of clothes? Seung-Ho answered he affraid people will mistaken her with real animal and begin to hunt her. Haha i like their dialogues. Hats up for the writers.

their past relationship bit cringe at some point. Personally i prefer to get rid of their romance in the past, make it a pure friendship relation.

Other than that, this drama is promising. Jung So-Min always nail it, she is good at romcom. Her comedic acting always elevate the vibe, her chemistry with her co-star always good. I like her in romcom, but i will also support her doing another genre so she didnt get stuck in the same genre.

I have seen similar show with the same story like Doctor Slump, and Serendipity's Embrace, this one is much better than the 2. I like the comedy in Love Next Door, i like how 2 leads dialogues and how their chemistry.
