This definetly lived up to my expectation! It's the same kind of twisted concept as Battle Royale, Death Game Park and The Incite Mill. I'll always like these twisted Japanese movies, no matter how bad the acting or script is, as long as the concept is good and there are no major plot-holes.
This seems like the visual adaption of fanfiction written by a 13 year old yaoi-fan-girl. So obvious and terrible conversations, yet emotional and with a rich storyline.
"friends are more important than any prize money" *continues to throw more money into gamble-machine* I'm just so confused about how bad the story/script was, while I still enjoyed the acting and the atmosphere.
I liked Kaiji 1, but what was this?!? I think it was supposed to advocate friendship, trust, teamwork and a leap of faith. However it's just worshipping the gambling-addict-hero. Moral of the story: as long as you have friends keep throwing all of your and their money into a gabling machine and you'll be a hero. wtf.
I hated the ending of Last Friends. The abusive boyfriend got no repercussions whatsoever, and she still had his…
I loved the ending of Last Friends for the reasons you hate it XD I loved the character development of him repenting and meanwhile finding an easy way out, while she, because of all the abuse, never found her own way or her own decisions, although she thinks she does; exactly like the relationship they had. Wow. that drama blew me away.
woah! I massively disagree with you on the Last Friends ending! I LOVED this ending, it was sooo painful (I agree that these guys should be imprisoned rather than get off easy, but I still loved this ending.) I think the point of this drama was to make everyone's perspective understandable and it did a great job and I think Sosuke's suicide fits that well, it shows is remorse and character development.
and oooh!! I DO agree on the Innocent Man ending, that was just.. a great disappointment.
