I don't know why I even finished watching this. There is no plot, no dialogue, no character development, no tension, no surprises, no scary moments, no plot-twists (well, there is no plot to twist). The only thing is that the shots were framed nicely and the costume design was great.
(Also this movie has a great cast, however none of the actors' abilities show anywhere in this piece of film)
Reading these reviews and comments I didn't expect much, but I actually liked this film! Especially the start, the passive-agressive comments and thoughts. There could've been meer gore, but on the other hand it was quite balanced the way it is. For just an hour of your time: recommended!
Does anyone know where I can watch this movie with English Subs? :(
D= no! I didn't know what was happening there. I have the same problem now. :( (that explains why the seeding has been slow lately) I hope they fix it soon! It is/was one of my main sources!
At first I thought they were kidding, that it was some kind of parody towards detective dramas - with the serious faces about taxes! XD but no. this is a very serious drama, and a good one at that ^^
11 short stories in an original concept. I enjoyed it because the episodes were short and all the stories are so different that it remains interesting. Not marathon material thouth, not really exciting.
Good movie, but pretty graphic in the yakuza torture/revenge department. (no where near Ichi the Killer, but more so than the usual stabbing/shooting)
I really liked the pace of the movie and story-line, there were A LOT of different characters and complicated relations between all of them. I understood that the whole thing is just yakuza-relations and revenge and power struggles, but who was affiliated whith whom was not clear to me at all times.
I am usually not a fan of the obvious and overboord kind of comedy, but in this film it was okay! Great movie! Lot's of music, but without slowing down the storyline!
Short films are usually more weird/artistic than full-length movies and in Japans everything seems to be amplified, so yeah, this was a series of seven trips into the surreal-weirdness that artistic creativity can bring. I liked some films more than others - I really liked The Messenger and Arita!
