The part that came out strong really in the finale episode were the scenes between WYW and TSM and the siblings meet up. I think writernim should had brought this up earlier. With how the leads reunited lacks depth in my opinion. Like what was the purpose of the break up. They could have just made the couple quarrel over something such as their differences and then reunited by learning how to compromise. On how it ended, I don't know but I felt that WYW had not grown professionally and individually. I was a little bit disappointed that abeonim was not able to meet LJH and properly introduced as WYW's namja. It was a scene I've been looking forward with after he caught the couple kissing. Like I previously commented, I think it could have been better if the last episode delves more into the characters rather than the usual episodes where we focus on the case at bar.
I know we are all angry about this and don’t see much logic behind it, but I’m still asking in case I missed…
The two always bicker so writernim thought she could buy the audience with "opposite attracts" with their romance. Well they must have grown to each other while bickering. Ha.ha.ha (sarcastic laugh)
Are we going further from happy ending?😭 They should have focus more on the characters rather than having the usual episodic cases. Let's find out tomorrow as to why the last episode is PEB's favorite part. 🤔
Contrary to what others believe, I don't think writernim tweaked the script to give way for a second season. Though writernim gave in with the usual kdrama tropes and integrated some in the series like the birth secret, truck of doom in the divorce case, last minute break up before finale, etc. Remember they even waited for PEB to take the role which means that the script already finished then. It is not practical to make a last minute edit to a completed script and messed it up, right? Moreover, they already wrapped up filming some time in July when 6 episodes were out. Further, the series is episodic in nature so season 2 still possible without tweaking the script. While Astory CEO said that they will produce a second season, a lot of uncertainties are on the way. So it might or might not be possible depending on the situation/conditions. On that note, it is now less likely that the most awaited wedding between the leads to happen in my opinion. Hopefully we are given a satisfying reunion between them nonetheless. Also, when will abeonim meet junho-si? I've been looking forward for that to happen.
In my opinion, the jeju case could have been compressed in one episode with MS back story as the highlight. Ep 14 could have been focused with the relationship development between SY and MW as the writer are going in that direction. There is no perfect relationship, so we have been open to a possible break up between the leads. However, YW should have been honest and told JH the reason, she has always been a straightforward person. For the last 2 episodes, JH could then work hard to reassure YW that she is someone who can make him happy and hence worth fighting for. I think the wedding that others have been assuming will not happen but the happy ending might still be possible. Overall, I still find the series good and re-watch value is high despite the turnabout on the 2 recent episodes.
What happened with writer-nim. The show seems going downhill. The recent episodes doesn't have the sparks from the first half of the series. I find myself fast-forwarding rather than replaying parts of the series. Ep 13 and 14 scammed me. I was really looking forward and overly excited with their jeju interactions when I saw the preview last week. Hmmp.
I was a bit confused with the ending. Why did Li Chen, son of Man tou became the successor of Yang Jian. As far as I remember when Yang Jian ascended to the throne, the Crown Prince was his eldest son with Jian Lou. Also Ki Chen's father is unknown. He couldn't be the son of Yang Jian. Also Li Chen should be younger than the second son of Yang Jian and Jian Lou. How come he is of the same age with Yang Jian and Jian Lou's eldest.
Spoiler: I think miso got the wrong person. I think the "oppa" she is looking for was actually Young-joon and not his brother Sung-yeon. Below are things that might prove it. 1. When Young-joon said to Miso that there are two persons who should not call him selfish/inconsiderate, one is Miso and the other one is his brother Sung-yeon. I was wondering why before but here's my guess Young-joon must have sacrifice himself or more like he baited the kidnapper away from Miso and his brother because among the nightmare of the three only Young-joon has a person in it, a girl in red if I remember it correctly. He was then caught and was tied with cable tires which explain his trauma towards it. 2.The reason why Young-joon hired Miso as his secretary. Despite there a lot more high profiled applicants, he hired her because she is Miso which suggests that he already know her. Also Miso once narrated that in their 1st meeting, Young-joon ask her who he was and Miso took it as him saying he is perfect and that he is the CEO's son but Young-joon must have been trying to say if she remember him.
There you have it guys my guess might also be wrong but what certain is that the three of them are equally involve in the kidnapping incident.
I want to see how this one will end? Do they become like any other couple where one has to give up things for…
Neither. Maybe at first, jakdo went to the country side and seung Jo entered the broadcasting company. I want to tell you the details but it's better if you watch it yourself. All I can say is that it ended satisfyingly. They got married but they didn't have to give up anything just to be together.
This drama could have been more better if the production team esp. the writer focused more on the historical aspect/side of the story. They should have focused more on the hwarangs. How they grew to better individuals and became independent and free from their parents' influence and thus later on become a powerful force that could influence the king as well as the officials in their decisions just like the Hwarangs in Queen Seondok. Well it's understandable that the Hwarangs are still a small force since it is just the beginning and are yet to be united as one but I hope they'll become the Hwarang that I expect them to be. Back to the drama, the recent episodes esp. 15 was daebak particularly when the hwarangs went to rescue their friend/comrade. That was the first time they've shown the strength of the Hwarang.
It's been awhile since I watched a touching movie. This is a masterpiece indeed. Great story and acting. The casts particularly DO and JJS really did an outstanding job. Highly recommended!
I think the story is getting messy. Sometimes you can't feel the emotions despite the casts' good portrayal because it's tone is fast changing and I think the poorly written conflict is also to blame. Putting the aforementioned aside, I was quite disappointed on how they revealed Moo myung's true identity. I was expecting something big. More so I think, though he is of royal bloodline, his chance of becoming a king is low because he is suffering from a serious illness just like how his father was disqualified because he was suffering from polio.
Finally, Ah Ro found out the truth and I really look forward on how she'll deal about it. Now sun woo/moo myung will no longer need to learn on how to act as a good brother and he will no longer be held up with the brother-sister relationship, thus we could expect more romance between them- now we could finally see the chemistry between Park Seo Joon and Go Ah Ra though I've already seen it. I do agree that Go Ah Ra also has chemistry with Park Hyung Sik but I like her better with Seo Joon in my unbiased opinion(Tbh I like both actor and I already watch all their dramas. My reason behind this is because I better like the character development of Seo Joon than Hyung Sik.) Putting that aside, now the real battle for Ah ro's heart begins.
Aside from the budding romance between the leads, I also enjoy the budding friendship between the hwarang boys and as usual I'm still curious as to the real identity of moo myung/sun woo. I always look for clues on every episode.
I hesitated to watch it at first but damn, this drama is good. I never thought I would love it since I hate Lee sung kyung's character in cheese in the trap. She was a villain/antagonist in cheese in the trap then suddenly she was the main lead/protagonist so I thought it would be hard for me to root for her in this drama but after watching it's first episode, it got me hooked and this drama definitely gave me a new vibe and impression for Lee sung kyung and it wasn't after all hard to root for her thanks to the lightness and the drama's good plot as well as the casts' good acting. This also proves that she can portray both villain and protagonist very well. Also, she really has great chemistry with Nam Joo hyuk. Overall, the drama is good, entertaining, light, cute and kind of refreshing. The casts, specially the leads, on the other hand did a great job in portraying their characters. I'll definitely miss bok Joo and joon hyeong when this drama ends.
I'm loving this drama. The recent episode's revelation about moo myung/sun woo really excites me. I'm really looking forward to the day when his birth secret/true identity will be unraveled/revealed. I've been guessing on who he really is after the recent episode. He might be a royal and woo reuk might be his protector like the one that protects the king. If not, he might be the son of a very high and important official.
Here's the deal as far as romance is concerned, moo myung/sun woo has advantage over the king/ji dwi as he is the best friend of ah ro's real brother. Also the king/ji dwi is at disadvantage because indirectly, he was the reason why ah ro's real brother died( Ah ro's brother was killed because he saw the face of the king). As we've seen in other historical dramas, family is of great importance during the old times. Also, family is one reason why the couples in the drama were torn apart/broke up and or can't be together(e.g. the couples' families are enemies, when the boy's family killed one of the girl's family member, etc).
This triggered my addiction again for historical dramas. Yes, indeed the two main lead has great chemistry. I can't get enough out of them. I want to watch their other dramas but sadly
It doesn't have English subs. Anyways, can somebody recommend me another good historical dramas
