there's similarity because both children have felt abandonment and solitude. both the movie and the japanese show focus on their lives after adoption, and both media show us how others are affected by their adoptions. of course they'll be different, but if you want to again watch something that shows a child's difficult childhood, "the blind side" isn't all that different
