Somehow I'm still lamenting why Fu Zhou was not shown at the end, but then I just came across with this comment:
Ziqi in the book is entirely different from Fu Zhou so it was a right decision right thing to do by not showing Ding Yuxi as Fu Zhou. Not only because it will erase Ziqi’s identity but also because it was MuZiqi all along. Fu Zhou was out of the equation for Miaomiao and giving us a view of the CP is a disrespect for our handsome black lotus.
Although they both entered the virtual world, but Miaomiao came as her conscious/real self, while Fu zhou did not. It was because he was under anesthesia while she was just sleeping, or maybe it was because he came with a mission to save his world. He needed the hero personality so the universe helped him conceal his scarred self. But before the final battle he recovered his true self because a hero fights with their whole being. So I agree with not showing Fu zhou. Mu sheng is not exactly Fu zhou, he is who Fu zhou aspires to be. Thus, Miaomiao and Fu zhou’s love story is an entirely different story.
I just realized that if Mu Sheng/Ziqi had been an entirely different person from Fu Zhou, it would be so damn unfair.
The OSTs are all great, but DYX's is one that's quite special for me. Makes you cry and think when listening to…
I never really understood it at first but when I listened again and saw the translation, it is indeed a fitting confession from Ziqi to Miao-miao and it's so touching
This gave me post drama depression, almost a week after finished watching it yet I got a spinning headache and even a fever, I'm not still feeling well and automatically bawls my eye when listening to Ding Yuxi's What You Mean To Me
Yes, it's like you are very happy knowing that we can watch an amazing drama starring Esther Yu and Ding Yuxi…
Yeah, I just watched because of DYX and it's a good material with their serving visuals and I find transmigration stories interesting. Shame that it had to end that way, but I already braced myself for such scenario.
I need closure… So this is how I’m going about it before watching Moonlight for the 100th time 🤣🤣🤣There’s…
Actually the whole drama didn't made sense to me, I just accepted the parts that seemed logical, the rest, I'll just give it to the writer, my only question is how Miao-miao saved Ziqi twice. I'm thinking if she first saved him when they're still kids, then the second time should be as Mu Sheng within the game (if he's aware) or the second time she had saved him is when fate made it's way for them to meet in real world, they just didn't show how they end up with each other in the real world (there are time skip after Miao-miao woke up and the launch of revised book.
This is the only drama in 2024 that I watched and availed express episodes, I finished it before 12MN last sunday, I cried the whole time in episodes 28-32. There are so many life lessons to think about, very heart-tugging, until now it can't get out of my head. I thought after watching the whole drama I could move on, but it wasn't the case, so I just made a MDL account so I could let go of everything in my head. The ending is just fitting, I won't ask for a season 2. Special epilogue, just to have a glimpse of Mu Sheng and Miao-miao. I just watched the behind the scenes clips of Moonlight, and it makes me happy. All the side characters also had their respective roles, they had depth and motivation, no real villain, my two favorite side characters will be Fuyi's master and Guo Xiu. Of course the four bamboo masters are the main characters. I'm good that no passionate kiss between Mu Sheng and Miao-miao, it was not needed anyway. After all, the story was written by the author when he's still a minor. My only nitpick is that I prefer the first ending where Mu Sheng exhausted his power in defeating the enemy, the angst level was high, the creation of stairway to heaven was kinda cringe for me, but actually made sense because the characters all helped in saving their world. I'm glad there's an exposition scene about Fu Zhou's background, another heart-tugging scene. It's regrettable that there were no resolution about the life of the characters after they have successfully saved the world, like what happened to Fuyi and Mu Yao? It's good to have a sneak peek of an epilogue, but viewers will never know about it since it wasn't revealed how the revised book of turned out. Is it the LGIEF we have watched? I'm not sure if it could be confirmed. The scene when Mu Sheng and Miao-miao behind the rock under the sky of stars lives on my mind. So maybe, at the end scene where Fu Zhou called Miao-miao, everyone cannot decide how their meeting should be executed, so it will still be best to leave that to viewers' imagination. How should we tell a stranger that we liked that person for a long time? It's difficult, right? Fu Zhou must have revised the novel upon reading Miao-miao's comments. Or maybe they have met already and spent time together before the revised book launching, considering how Miao-miao's demeanor changed from silly-looking girl to a normal woman. Sometimes, our favorite story changes us.
