Not really. The ML’s ex is trying to win him back after 12 years apart but he has zero interest in her and he makes that very clear. Once he falls for the FL, he’s 100% invested in her.

You bring up some good points and I agree that the writers didn’t do the best job with her character development, especially during the earlier eps. Fortunately, I found the ML’s character arc very compelling.

I loved Crazy Love and thought Eps 9 - 13 were particularly strong.

The show does keep getting better but I’m afraid there’s a bit more bullying yet to come. But it’s definitely worth sticking with it!

It depends on how well the falling-in-love stages are written and portrayed. Her Private Life is one of my favorite dramas and many of my most rewatchable scenes are from Eps 5 - 8 before they got together. Lots of people thought the show got boring after they became a couple but I love that they stayed together no matter what and didn’t have any silly misunderstandings.

He said no because he didn’t want to hurt her feelings but she said his using her would save her from being humiliated on national television. She’d rather be a “meaningless choice” as opposed to someone who doesn’t get picked at all.

And before he chose her after he won the shirtless wrestling, he asked her again if she was really okay with being “used.”

He starts pursuing her at the end of Ep 10, woos her throughout Ep 11, and they’re officially dating by the beginning of Ep 12.

I’ve liked it since the beginning. It’s much better than I expected it to be. I love how real their conversations are and the two leads are well developed and relatable. Also find the edgy adult humor refreshing.
