CUTENESS OVERLOAD
I thought this series was very well made. The script and actors were really good and they were oozing chemistry. It had some of the best kisses and NC scenes coming from South Korean BL. The only downside was the short runtime, so some things happen way too fast and felt a bit rushed. All in all a very good, sweet comfort watch.I NEED A SPIN-OFF OF THE 2 FRIENDS ON MY TABLE BY TOMORROW

Stolen glances in the classroom
This drama was beautiful to witness, it felt very poetic. From the script, acting to the directing, everything was masterfully done. The ending felt incomplete but it was still well done. If we don't get a second season I WILL RIOT. Please release merch or photobooks, something , so we could help make season 2 a reality.Was this review helpful to you?
You showed me love isn't a weapon, but armor
I thought this series was beautifully done. It felt like a poem came to life. I really liked the plotline and the acting even though I have a few (small) complaints about the ending as I thought it was good but left a few things to be answered. Also I wish we got an extra episode to expand their relationship after the finale and a bit more skinship.Was this review helpful to you?
beautiful, melancholic and atmospheric
I've heard good things about this series but I was a bit skeptical before going in. I'm not the biggest fan of the movie Call me by your name (unpopular opinion I know) and it seemed to share a lot of similarities.But I thought this was absolutely BEAUTIFUL, while it does share a lot of similarities with CMBYN it executes it MUCH better in my opinion. Their age gap is not very bad, it seems the main character is 17-18 at the start and the love interest 21-22 and while it's a more "slow " series I was super engaged the whole time. The cinematography is STUNNING, the actors do an incredible job, the script is well written and the music is really good and atmospheric. I am really surprised at how an "indie" Chinese series managed to deliver Hollywood movie quality while surpassing the clear inspirations that influenced it.

Beautiful love story
I really loved this show. I thought it was really well done. The acting was top notch, chemistry top notch and the script was good too.There were some continuity mistakes in the show (small irrelevant issues), the one that stood out to me was Mek getting hurt by Dech's father, leaving a big wound on the back and a later scene/episode we get a scene where Dech is rubbing Mek's back and there is no scar or wound present at all haha.
Another issue was that the show was very unrealistic and lots of times had to turn my brain off, cause they were kissing and holding hands in public yet had little consequences. Yes homophobia was present but not as bad as it probably was at the time, but it's ok, it's a fictious tv show.
All in all I was pleasantly surprised by the show and it filled the void in my heart left by IFYLITA.

Love in face of adversity
This series is dark, but beautiful. It deals with very uncomfortable topics and I recommend reading the TWs before watching. Even with the uncomfortable topics, it was always well done and a gripping story about love, resilience and the darkness of humanity (but also the light found in the dark). Definitely recommended and I won't forget it, the ending is ingrained in my brain.Was this review helpful to you?

Amazing, emotional and romantic movie
I loved watching ULS when it came out, so I was really excited for this. It took a few months to get to international audiences but we finally got it. The movie was emotional and romantic and very well acted, the actors do an amazing job and have overflowing chemistry! The kisses were super hot.The story in itself was nothing groundbreaking, childhood friends to lovers but very well written and directed. I was expecting the ending to be sad since this is a prequel and they're not together yet in ULS and while the ending was sad, it wasn't as sad as I thought it would be, more bittersweet than sad.The ending was really well written and didn't break continuity with ULS, but I wish we would get a sequel about them after ULS. I wanna see them in their happy dating era pls.
