I totally agree, especially the part about her not sharing her feelings, not even with Kaning! The show has consistently…
Yes, I hope at the end of the series we can see this arc covered too. Her being able to share her feelings and thoughts with Thyme with the same comfort and understanding.
I also realized how from the first episode we have been so excited rooting for Thyme and surprising during his growth as a human there have been many people supporting him his friends, sibling, Gorya and her sibling, now his fiancé. So after this whole episode 9 fiasco i realized our girl Gorya is so alone now. She doesn't have her family around her, she doesn't share much of her feelings and pain with Kaning. It breaks my heart that Gorya's only source of letting out her pain and frustration is screaming from the terrace and even when she goes through her own set of problems she also manages to find compassion for others pain. I am so upset with people blaming Gorya for being stupid or not understanding Thyme when he is the one who failed to communicate. How can you expect her to deal when those business people when no one explains what is going on and how can she wait for Thyme and for how long? And sadly after graduation Ren isn't going to come and check on Gorya's feeling everyday (cause he was the only friend who understood her feelings and insecurities).
Have watched quite few drama's with the "RICH GUY-POOR GIRL TROPE", but i don't think any drama ever presented…
Also I think the funeral was just a turning point for gorya. During this one year whenever gorya tried to understand thyme and they got closer a third person (mostly from thyme's connection) will come and ruin all the dynamics and it especially goes hard on gorya whether it be physical or mental.
When Thyme entered gorya's world he could find love, warmth, solace and a Lil brother! It was so heartwarming to see Thyme remembering Gorya's younger brother's departure date and time , Helping him fix his school uniform and also cooking for him. But when we see Gorya interacting with the 1% people its the opposite. There's some darkness, no warmth, people only talk in a language called "business". They have their meals with their business partners and not family members. So even if gorya breaks the barriers and enters into thymes world she will still be a foreigner.
Tbh when I first saw the constant lying scene about gorya meeting ren I was like "ahh here comes the beginning of angst" but now if I think about it, maybe she lied not because she was worried about thyme's reaction but maybe she felt guilty? Like gorya sure was softening for thyme and maybe there were some feelings but then the sudden arrival of ren and also him jokingly asking her to date behind thyme's back made her feel confused or something? Like she did think that Ren was serious about the dating question. So ig the writer wanted to saw us beginning of Gorya's confused feelings rather than angst in this scene
