As a Jamaican k-drama fan, it's not the fact that they have dreadlocks. It is the fact that they characterized the character with them as dirty. In fact, a lot of Jamaicans I know find this portrayal racist. While all Jamaicans don't necessarily agree with the Rastafari movement and practice, we have been respecting them. This drama further perpetuates stereotypes and thus people are upset.
