Your concern is just so to the point! I love TGCF so, so, so much! I am not going to judge anything related to actors in advance as I have some trust in the director and the crew and hope that they really can choose actors for their talent. We just cannot see it in advance. But I am quite worried over how the story will be chopped and put to the screen as bromance... It is also quite long and I hope there won't be major left out arcs. I actually look froward to know, how they will show the timeline... we have volumes with the time frames as: (1) present (2) past (3) present (4) past (5) present. It might be a bit confusing if they follow this layout, however they also cannot go from past to present as it will reveal to many details too early! And now you brought up the ending. If they will end it on a SAD tone, aka Hua Cheng dying... I will collapse. Literally!
