Title Mr. Right
This is getting more melo than rom-com
Chinese adult dramas hardly ever fall under the definition of rom-com, nor are they melodramatic. They usually show a rather realistic depiction of complicated adult relationships --Jin Dong dramas especially falls under this description. (see The First Half of My Life and Surgeons, also Ode to Joy I and II)

It would be better if they paired Ruby Lin to an actor to his 30's Dereck Chang Is to Young to be her pair…
Age ain't nothing but a number! I think you miss the point of the story. Supposedly it is going to be the young guy that seems more enlightened than the two older and seasoned men in her life. His fresh outlook and innocence will provide her with an interesting perspective. There are lots of May December marriages and romances that are successful these days. But we tend to hear the put-downs when it comes to older women and younger men. We don't get all the negativity when it comes to older men with younger women . Nobody had anything to say when Eric Mun of Shinhwa married a 25 years old woman -- somehow that was okay.

YESSS! Did you see him in "The First Half of My Life." Best piece of television I've ever seen and best drama so far this year!

Liked every character. Even the questionable directors. Liked every character except the main male lead. What…
That's a typical Jin Dong performance! Uptight, reserved, but seething with passion underneath.See his performances in Ode to Joy, particularly 1 and the best drama I've seen so far this year where he was a lead and it was absolutely outstanding, "The First Half of My Life."

Is most of this filmed in South Korea? I saw that some of it was filmed in Guam (nice timing!). Hoping, if I watch,…
The leads meet while travelling and working, so the first few episodes are in Guam.

Just finished watching him in Sky on Fire, currently streaming on Netflix. Lots of good action and he was paired with Daniel Wu and Joseph Chang......oh, and Amber Kuo.

Futuristic scenario ended the movie ... The use of a futuristic setting did a lot of harm to the gritty and prevailing…
Same here, Teleri.....Daniel Wu, Zhang Rui Yun and Joseph Chang were enough for me to be entertained, with lots of good action! What's interesting is that this film was thought of as futuristic. It's Hong Kong, with all of its grit and glitz -- and a city so dense that it grows up and not out. Funny how some see that as futuristic. The heights of some of those buildings were enough to make me queasy!

this plot....is like the go-to for Korean daily dramas.
Daily dramas are like a variation on the same theme.

The summary sounds thrilling. The poster looks like a cooking show. Something went wrong somewhere
I don't know if you've noticed, but most daily dramas have a food theme.

Since its a daily drama the plot will crawl for 118 episodes, half of which will be her getting framed for murder
Nope! She got framed and sent to prison within the first 18 episodes and we will now experience a time jump so she can be released and start her revenge.

Title Sweet Enemy Spoiler
It's a daily drama. They are usually all the same - variation of the same theme......always! This is where drama writers begin. They will use all the tropes they can, and that is exactly the case here. It stars leads that I'm not aware of, but found out that they have good reputations, but don't work that often. I used to blame the daily dramas for sucking me into their vortex, but i have decided to stop doing that. I like watching them sometimes. They can be very entertaining. This drama didn't shortstop with using so many tropes in its first 18 episodes. Now I'm in for the long haul -- thank goodness there is 1 episode a day. Can't wait to see the story unfold and find out how Dal Nim is going to get back at everyone for sending her to prison. Sure, I'll moan and I'll groan and I'll curse at her for her stupidity and naivete, but part of the scenario is watching her grow and learn and become smarter than those around her who want to wreak havoc in her life. So far I'm enjoying it, so I will stick with it. That violin music tho at the most melodramatic moments makes me howl with laughter! I usually describe daily dramas as being "so bad, they're good!"
