Because her family is a military family and have alot of power and control, this might be threatening to the emperor so he might decide to execute them all like he did to the GU family in episode one
So to prevent that she needs to be powerful. This isn’t a revenge story is more about gaining power for the future. That’s all she’s after.
I think there was even a part in the drama that said who ever married her gains half the kingdom or something? That’s how powerful they are.
On EP 7 and the crown prince actually needs to go to bed or something, why does he keep running around doing stuff ðŸ˜. Staged a robbery and is galloping around town with the ninth prince. He dressed up and committed to the bit to go delude the ninth prince ðŸ˜
Even though this is all fun and games I definitely think he has a vicious side
I also get people who say things happen fast but imo after ep 4 things fall into a rhythm. Initially I felt the same way, one thing happening after the other quickly and was confused but after ep4 it’s fine. Just get past the first couple of episodes I think ðŸ˜
They probably tried to squeeze in the premise in the first 3-4 episodes then continue the story because apparently in the novel she didn’t even meet the prince till chapter 300+.
Also only 2 princes like her so far the rest have other motives.
I’m on episode one not sure if it’s explain further. Is FL reincarnated and went back in time? I’m so confused.
No FL didn't reincarnate and is not in a different body, she was on the brink of death then the soul of GY lady merged into her. She is still the same person but with memories of the GU lady. Same body, same memories but with memories and skills of the other lady too
Okay the pacing has gotten quite better from ep 5, I'm loving the shamelessness of the Crown Prince, mans fighting…
Same I think the first couple of episodes i was like there's alot but from ep 4 I'm like the pacing is nice now. I think they had to squeeze 300 chapters into the first 5 episodes or somehing like that
I feel like there are bigger problems ahead? that's why these one's are solved fast. There are many characters who haven't been introduced yet as well
I only watched the trailer and read the synopsis and based solely on this, i would say, you cant shame people…
Okay so I wrote all this because I was also confused about the whole soul merging thing, I didn't read the synopsis. So far Shen Xihe has someone elses memories and this person isn't related to her at all, maybe in the coming episodes but now there is no indication that the other soul wants revenge. Survivor of bloodshed also has to do with the other soul but again there is no indication she wants anything done so far.
So far what we've seen is Shen Xihe has seen what happened to the GU family and is trying to protect her Shen family so the emperor doesn't play tricks and have them killed, that's why she's choosing a prince that she can gain from, I know she's not there for love.
I keep seeing people say this is a rebirth, where the FL dies and comes back to life stronger to right the wrongs of the past and see what they can do to save their loved ones after everything has happened.
That's not what's happening at all ðŸ˜
The Fl gets fragments of another person's soul/ memories of another person, but that's all; no one went back in time to stop anything. She just continues her journey back to the capital, but now with skills and memories of another person; they aren't related, nor do they look alike, because if they did, the fifth prince would've gone mad already. She probably didn't even die; she was on the brink of death, and because of the twin moons, she survived.
The person's soul also isn't looking for revenge, so this isn't a revenge drama; it doesn't seem like it because nothing has happened to her family. She's just trying to marry a prince who will serve her well and protect her family alongside her, that's all. I feel like if they just made her strong with incense powers in the beginning, novel fans wouldn't be happy, so they just put 10 minutes aside to do the soul merging thing.
I noticed when she first goes to court and talks about marrying for love, the fifth prince hears something, and he's like 🤔. It seems like she might have some phrases or mannerisms similar to his wife's, but not the same looks.
But I honestly get why people don't love rebirth because they go back in time to fix stuff, and nothing gets fixed, and they keep suffering till they find a loophole. It's so frustrating. This isn't that at all
P.S I haven't read the novel, this is just my opinion from watching
This aspect is not visible in the drama yet...but the emperor wants to the one who wants to go down in the annals…
Ahhh thak you so much! Do you mind to paste this under my discussion post up there or I can d0 it for you! It makes more sense now. wait it might be a spoiler dw
We get she’s super smart but make it believable with some time for investigations😠she just figured out the…
But I feel like the horse one makes sense though? Gu daughter who merged souls with her knows a lot about smells and incense, so she can obviously tell what smell from a couple inches away. Maybe they didn't want to waste time on that plot and the information gotten will lead them to bigger things.
But idk it made sense to me because she's good with scents and herbs so it's only natural for her to be able to tell what it is

Do you get my thought process? ðŸ˜
