Glad you're enjoying it! The FL in one of my first modern cdrama was also this way, that's why I don't mind it. At the time, I was confused by why she was acting that way at her age when I watched but I adapted to it especially because there's a time skip to give a contrast to now, not just changing the clothes but the attitude as well. But cdramas have a variety of different female leads, not limited to the cute trope, this is more of a classic sort of spoilt daughter ( by her mum) trope ish.

I didn't expect He Yu to get to 500k tbh. I don't know why I love doing analyses like this. I moved on to hashtags on TikTok and compared popular modern cdrama hashtags and historical to SAL as well as LGEIF with esther which did really well, then moved on to kdramas this year because they have a wider audience to make a comparison, like dynamite kiss etc

I just wish he had more of a following and fan base in China, because we can't do much for him. People who will go to his events and show up for him, so brands and directors recognize that he has an audience. His drama with Meng Ziyi will have LOADS of promotion from what i've seen because they've gone to 2 variety shows since filming wrapped up, and a lot of c-nets seem to be interested in the adaptation

OMG SAMEEEE, I watch her dramas once in a while but I ride at dawn for her after SAL. She such a cutie and so positive. Even I am disturbed by what I see online talkless of the recipient.

One thing I noticed is that the cdrama actor pool is smaller than kdramas. They churn out shows like no tommorrow. These actors never rest in order to stay relevant. I wish they had release dates tho

Yes! I watched lovely runner explode with my 2 eyes. Probably because of tik tik edits. I hope that can happen for this show as well even tho it’s late and a lot of people don’t watch cdramas because the work is complete with a handsome male lead that gives princess treatment that’s a ll we need 🤓🤭 and Mumu is as brave as the FL in LR!

I also enjoyed watching Byeon Wooseoks rise to fame, he got 10 million followers in a span of a month or 2. I will never forget how insane that summer was.

I was hoping this show can open cdramas to the world a bit more yes people watch it but not as much as kdramas. But I will say they make more historical dramas that’s why and people aren’t willing to watch those because of “sad endings” and cdramas don’t go on Netflix. Hidden love was the show that opened the door for more cdramas on Netflix from Youku
