Carried by the plot and performances
For me, what really makes this series work is the acting, especially from Arisa and Lalin. The way their emotions come through, even in quieter scenes, feels very natural. There are a lot of small expressions and pauses that say more than the dialogue itself. It makes their dynamic believable, even when the situation is complicated.
