I understand where you're coming from and it's easy to get carried away with all those cute social media interactions. I almost went like that after TharnType, it was Supernatural all over again for me (after being queerbaited for years with DeanCas) but then I realised few things.
First, majority of those interactions are carefully directed and the fans are being used to create the controversy in order to promote the show
And second, actors deserve private lives and what they do it's not our business. They give us entertainment and don't owe us shit.
honestly I disagree and feel like people need to either stay in a complete bubble of fiction and not involve actors' personal lives or understand that tv fiction =/= reality
I just want to express my love to the BB comments section on MDL and some thoughts.
Bad buddy is a BL and it became extremely popular as well. This means it gets the regular /fanservice/ treatment, with toxic shippers on the net, putting their boots into the actors' private lives. It is a real shame seeing people seeping their hate towards the makers of this awesome show.
Bad buddy is also not for everyone. It IS a BL and while it was done exquisitely well, it still covers the tropes the LGBT community is trying to fight against. And while BB is doing everything not to be put in a 'crazy toxic unrealistic' category, you still get a rather fluffy image of a relationship after all.
In the end, BB comments section might not be for everyone. Some might be upset that the comments have become something out of control, and there are lots of comments. But I feel we have created a lovely community with many insightful ideas and comments and not much of a toxic behaviour.
I've said it before, it's my favourite corner of the Internet, sometimes I might not vibe with all the crazy of the crazy ideas, but it stays the loveliest and the most positive forum board about BB at the moment, at least for me.
yeah we buddies of mdl are that great for you to write a whole paragraph on how great we are ♡(> ਊ
exactly. BB might not be for everyone and they try to be spoilsports but if we collectively ignore them, we can have something absolutely beautiful for the next 3 weeks!
