Cheer Up not so cheery!
The female lead was so offputting with her facial expressions and over the top acting that it took away from the two male leads and any desire for them to be with her. The stoyrline was good and kept you invested but I just could not get past the miscast of Han Jihyun. It is a shame because Bae Inhyuk and Kim Hyunjin were great despite the lack of chemistry of either of them with her.Was this review helpful to you?
Loved Every Minute of It!!!!!
I do not want to give anything away. I have never watched a "k drama" that had more twists, turns, surprises, and "shake my head" moments ever. Park Hyung Sik is absolutely an A-list actor in all sense of the word in this series. His emotions, actions and thoughts are the real deal here. This ENTIRE cast is amazing, the good, the bad AND the ugly. You will not want to stop between episodes....it is JUST that good! The OST is terrific and mood enhancingly perfection for each scene. Great Watch
This show was fun to watch. The friendship between the three female leads is enviable. Kim Young Dae as the male lead was perfectly cast. He is the epitome of smoldering. It was refreshing to watch a show where you don't have to watch it until the last episode for the leads to express their feelings. I did not care much for Lee Sunbin in Potato Lab so I was very surprised at her super performance in this new show. Hyeyeon is adorable and watching the chemistry between her and Ahn Dong Goo was second lead syndrome joy. The crypto storyline was very timely, and the greed message was clear. Good wach but lacking to be a hit.
Poeple getting riled about the storyline confuses me. It's a show for crying out loud. That being said, I felt like Jin Sung and Tae Wan had the better chemistry than Jin Sung and Ah Jin. I also felt like the ending was not satisfying enough for all three main leads. Jung Il Woo and Lee Hak Joo are amazing actors and this was no exception to that. I did like the FL but she just wasn't enough for me in this one.Was this review helpful to you?
Stumbled on it and happy I did
I thought that the storyline was intricate and interesting. First C drama in a while that had both a great ML and FL and didn't seem over the top. The friendships and family dynamics were great. Their affection for each other did not in the least bit seem forced or unbelievable. I looked forward to each episode and that doesn't happen very often. It just seemed like genuine love and care from main roles and even supporting roles.Was this review helpful to you?

Very Much Worth the Watch
This story starts out in the Joseon era and moves to modern day with a little back and forth. Not one episode dragged. Lots of twists, laughs and beautiful love. Bae In-Hyuk, as usual does not disappoint. If anything, it is the best acting I have seen from him. Superb. Lee SeYoung is so convincing and cute. All of the support cast was extremely fantastic! My only very minor complaint would be I wanted see more for them at the end. It was easy to fall in love with them as a couple. The older adult cast was riveting in both eras. I really enjoyed the OST for this one as well.Was this review helpful to you?
