the first season is far more in the future of woohyuk , in the second season he is in highschool and in the first season he is an adult , the story seems to not be finished yet , in the first season during a flashback from two years ago of woohyuk we learn that he was in another relationship with a girl named seri for 3 years so is already more than 5 years gap between the two seaons timeline , the fiirst season is more like the ending of woohyuk story and the second season is when we start to learn more about woohyuk past that's why is titled the begging , it wasn't clearly mentioned but in the second season his heart transplant is most probably connected with his tactile agnosia from the first season (or is tactile agnosia is due to an accident which wasn't revealed) , most of the story is still in mistery , but something must be happened with him during college years or shortly after highschool which changed woohyuk , is just my theory because season one woohyuk is more reserved and misterious ( due to his tactile agnosia )than season two woohyuk which is more straightforward and tsundere . Also in the second season we discover why the drama is callled mermaid prince ( is the nickname of the trio of boys ) and woohyuk connection with water ( he used to be a swimmer in highschool ) , he is seen in the first second around water a lot and trying to touch it and sense it
