"The last arc was pretty rushed" indeed. How I wish the cat-and-mouse game during tungsten ore and medical supplies arcs will be much longer, especially that train scene, coz it was SO good.
The initial ep was 40 as far as I know, but they must cut it due to censorship, maybe that's why at some point it looks rushed. Nevertheless, the last two episodes were still amazing, I love it sm! Going to binge rewatching it soon!

Anyway, well done, kudos to the scriptwriter who can keep the stable pace from ep 1 until 38, no filler, no dragging or whatsover, eventhough they must cut the ep from 40 to 38 due to censorship. Ofc 10/10 from me. I hope they can make another project with the same cast and crew in the future (please, keep the same scriptwriter).
My highlight of course Wang Yibo as WRL, his best character portrayal to date along with Mr. Ye and Jiang Xianyun. From 23rd y.o WRL in ep 1 until 29th y.o WRL in ep 38, you can clearly see the difference in his eyes (from sparkling eyes to firmer), demeanor, and aura. He captured WRL's growth and maturity flawlessly.
As expected from the Golden Rooster Awards and Asian Film Festival nominee *thumbs up*.
