What is the conversation between YiYao and Cai SiYu after the One Night Stand, was it really a one night stand,…
Immediately after in the hotel room, he just says that he won't consider her late to work that day. Afterwards, YiYao and Siyu have a convo and they both tell each other they drank too much and don't remember the night. He asks her if they did anything since he doesn't know. Siyu dodges the question and says that if he asks questions like that, she'll lose face/dignity and that if he keeps asking, she'll tell the whole world "they did everything". Pretty vague.
Where does FL go in ep 24? Abroad? Do they divorce?
Yes to the first question, they got rid of all their shares. Her leaving him is because she wants him to follow his dream to go to Germany and not to chain him/be controlling.
I never actually watched the Thai drama (briefly skimmed it only) so can't so for sure whether there will be a time gap or not but overall, seems like this version is way more light-hearted. None of the leads are detestable (at least not yet). In the Thai version, I think there were scenes with gun standoffs... so hopefully, this version won't go full melodrama/angst considering the first 22 eps were easygoing romcom. If there is a time gap and then full of secrets, deception between ML and FL, etc, that change of pace would signify to me pretty poor writing.
Watched the raws which are up to 24 right now. Might write a currently-watching review; feel free to ask me questions/spoilers here [but spoiler your post so other people don't get spoiled]!
Not something to get stuck on. Im more perturbed about her stupidity and crying. Only on episode 2 and not impressed.…
Yes I agree. Got up to episode 3 and the show just has that tropey romcom-movie vibe where the issues happen because of the hijinks and fault of the characters. Seems a bit generic especially since characters feel a bit one-dimensional (nerdy emotionless math guy vs. dramatic innocent girl) but might continue a bit longer to see if anything interesting happens.
I am on episode 5 and having a hard time connecting to the MLs. The FL’s misconception of ML is getting old…
That premise pretty much continues all the way through. I'll keep spoilers to a minimum but it's still prevalent after a time-skip in the later episodes. I thought it was hard connecting to the ML in the earlier episodes but in the later episodes, you'll find it hard to connect with the FL. Overall, just feels a bit one-sided and the episodes get draggy because it gets a bit formulaic/repetitive with the issues that pop up. I'd say, if you're not enjoying it now, it doesn't change much, and you can consider dropping it. The 2nd couple is also pretty dry (one of the worst I've seen) and a 3rd-mini couple that gets introduced in like episode 30+ is more interesting than that.
It's a solid office rom-com but don't expect more than that. The serious office plot is not very well-written. ML is frustrating and overbearing in the beginning, FL becomes a bit stubborn in the end (you don't really see too much substance from the FL later on even though she's supposed to be the main lead). Stick with it if you want something that's sweet and funny + good chemistry between leads.
Overall pretty good. SML was poorly written in all aspects (love triangle, rivalry, conclusion). 2nd couple was also pretty boring--felt out of place and tried to be a comedy relief but was unneeded. Going to say that the show would've worked better with 24 episodes (last few episodes dragged and could've cut down a lot of 2nd couple's time).
For people who like this genre, it's one of the better ones. The "CEO-character" isn't OVERLY overbearing and FL isn't "weak". For those who are looking for something new, this also isn't the most groundbreaking - still lots of moments of: "wow that's a bit creepy" or "too controlling".
WOOOOOOOW apparently they left the ending on a cliffhanger-ish ending... Apparently there's rumors of an epilogue being planned but no news of it. What a disappointment.
It's not the age gap, it's the ML looks. The demographics of mydramalist and the intl. audience is very particular.…
I wouldn’t say the “vast” majority of Chinese viewers don’t mind. It has like a 4/10 rating on Duboku (Chinese streaming site) and a 3.5/10 on Douban (basically the Chinese IMDB). Viewers especially don’t like the age gap here since the ML looks older than his age while the FL could pull off high school. The plot is also quirky and fun but extremely ridiculous where you need to turn off your brain to fully enjoy it.
At the middle, you kinda feel like the ML and 2FL should be a pair and FL and 2ML too. The main couple just didn't have that oomph to be mesmerizing and it was relatively bland. Honestly, the FL and ML's romantic chemistry felt lacking but their friendship was endearing. Overall, pretty okay drama.
I think FL is okay but ML isn't impressing me. Don't think his character is particularly interesting and his acting/voice feels very underwhelming. I get that he's going for the "cold" vibe but when there's so many dramas with this trope, he just doesn't stand out (as of ep 12).
Anyone not like the ZF character? Not fully caught up yet but feels like the main relationship is so one-sided -- kinda feels like SL is doing everything (caring, doing things to help her, putting more effort in the relationship) while ZF is more of a passive character. Does it get any better since ZF seems "only" career-driven.

(Most likely) incoming....
