I could not stand the best friend as soon as she appeared then thought maybe she isn't too bad when she told FL of ML helping FL clear her name but here the best friend is again ruining everything!

I really hope there is character development for her too. We are almost half way through and I'm not seeing much improvement.

I feel that way too since they first showed her brother's relationship if things went to plan like how they wanted had they escaped. then they moved on to FL's.

I would've preferred the novel ending instead.

I have never been so confused about an ending. It's like they ended it then gave an extra two minutes for viewers to make what they want of it. Why do they do this? I waa fine with the SE. Lol.

Enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Republican era drama wasn't my thing but watched it for XZG. He looks and was amazing in here vs in Dashing Youth.

That ending though, I didn't see that one coming. I'm hoping for season 2!! The three of them worked so well together and I appreciate that the FL was level headed, smart and not annoying.

It's going to be interesting how this plays out. I don't think it will be as annoying as the whole Pan Chi and FL relationship considering PC is seems set on saving her from her husband.

That's a good thought. In the beginning I sensed she has romantic feelings towards ML but at ep14 it felt like friendship. But you're right, it could be because she doesn't know the extent of that relationship yet.

I just watched ep14 with very bad subs (thanks mangotv) and I now think they have more of a friendship relationship. I hope they reveal more about ML and Ms Xu relationship.

Ugh .... That is what I hate the most. I usually drop when that starts happening in a drama. I hope it doesn't happen with this because I do like the ML and FL.

Enjoying the show so far. A little annoyed with all the men around FL. I guess I've just seen too many drama with similar where FL is surrounded by men causing unnecessary jealousy. I hope there is no love triangle. I liked the kid at first but now he's a little annoying.

I thought the emperor is sending CX on purpose. Especially right after hearing of the marriage certificate without seeking approval from the emperor.

Ugh they really dragged the groveling and apologizing on too long. At this point, I don't even want them back together. The ML just needs to get his ish together and focus on taking down the prince.
