The emperor explains it all in ep 16 or 17. It was his plan all along to encite unrest with the rebels so the prince will come. He will then use them to kill each other so when the prince dies, he gets to keep his wife since the 5 year contract is almost over.
So is the fl married nd had kid with someone else other than the ml?
I watched this a couple times to try and really grasp what was going on. No real scenes with sml. In the 5 years married, they stayed in separate mansions and had no physical or intimate relationship. There is one scene in ep 16 or 17 where he pulls off her belt which can be interpreted in more than one way.
There's some scenes I saw floating around on social media that seems to be from SoL but wasn't in it. I wonder if they shot two different endings and picked this one instead.
I need more of him in my cdrama life.I saw all his work in 2 daysand still it’s not enough need a full length…
Same!!!! I'm sad seeing that he doesn't have much dramas coming up this year and so far no release date for Dawn is Breaking either. I'm feeling deprived. I need more Richard!!!
So glad I read this because I only watched it for yunhan and quit after he died! I just went back to finish the…
I agree. I mean, I sort of understand why. She already suffered through losing him and he doesn't want her to go through it again because of his job but we want to see a HE for them too!! They need a whole spin off of just their story!
The ML was severely miscast. The actor would probably suit a more mature character, not a teen prince. The voice…
Agree. I didn't feel any chemistry between ML and FL. She's supposed to be 18 and him younger than his older brother who is 26 but the ML looks in his 40s. I couldn't get over it. Yunhan was the only reason I finished the drama.
Yeah the story didn't match the expectations I felt.
I felt her sister had multiple motives but mainly it was all because of her obsession over her husband. She knew her husband was obsessed with her sister, she also knew that the agreement with Duke Lu was that her husband married Lu's daughter so she can be the empress. Having her sister marry her husband will ensure that her son will be taken care of, the emperor can't marry Duke Lu daughter yet and the prince and his army will protect the empire and husban as long as her sister is there.
I love Richard Li, but out of all his other dramas I've seen, this one should be my least favorite. So many plot…
From my understanding, the deal was Lu will help him become emperor but he will have to marry Lu's daughter so she will become the empress. With the 5 year deal ending, he would've had to marry Lu's daughter and I believe that's also why he put this whole scheme in motion.
Basically the last two episodes showed us that her sister was a b*tch who was jealous that her husband (the Emperor)…
Agree. At first, I felt sympathetic toward the sister and thought she was concerned about her son being raised without a mother but as the story progressed, especially at ep 19 & 20, I was so upset at how selfish she was to use her own sister and the prince!
Nooooo that can't be the ending!! As soon as the original returned I'm like "Noooo"!!!! Why does it have to end…
Feeling the same here!!! It can't end like this!!!!! Before the original came back, it did say "mission failed"...but I'm still hoping there is a s3 because we all need a better ending for ah ye!
Doubtful but also very hopeful! I've been waiting for news of s3 forever! We need a HE and I just have so many questions! I've been sad since I watched this!
Tolerating this only for Richard. The FL can't act and the dubbing artist makes her sound like a 5yr old which…
I thought I was the only one. I wanted to love this so much because of Richard li but I cannot stand the FL! Not just her character but also her acting!
