K-Drama Best slice of life (of all time)
I went into this show with zero expectations and some hesitation, mainly because slice-of-life isn't usually my thing. However, the narrative hooks you immediately. The way characters are introduced and how earlier scenes take on new meaning in hindsight revealing each character's actual grasp of the situation was brilliant.
Best of all, even with romantic elements involved, the story never made romance its core focus.
On the downside, a few side characters, like Du Cui, felt underdeveloped.
Considering its overall length, it’s not something I would rewatch, but it was certainly worth the first ride.
