Can we all just take a moment to appreciate Tsugumi and Kameko? How freakin' adorable are the two of them…
I'll take that moment, and add how refreshing it was that a stalker wasn't creepy, just shy. Tsugumi was a great guy, implying how well his single mom and grandma had raised him. I loved the hopeful continuation for him and Kameko!
Remember the dog who saved Kasumi? The dog who played Haro is known as Zaza-chan in real life and belongs to the Japan Rescue Dog Association. As the scene would involve jumping into the sea and swimming to save Kasumi, the production team requested for a real rescue dog and the dog handler brought it all the way from Yamanishi prefecture. As it was not used to filming with so many people around, it was reluctant to enter the water initially, but eventually showed its wonderful swimming and professionalism.
2) Tsugumi’s jumping scenes
The actor, Nishiyama Jun, was a beginner at high jump. He was given lessons by an athletics coach and amazingly, he cleared 150 cm right on the first day of training. The coach was surprised as a beginner would usually manage around 120 cm.
3) Yuri and Kasumi’s photo
The photo was taken by Kitagawa Eriko (the screenwriter), when she invited Saito Takumi (Yuri) and Harada Tomoyo (Kasumi) out for a meal (just the three of them), before filming began.
4) Kasumi’s Barringtonia ring
After the filming ended, the art staff modified it into a pinky ring and gave it to Harada Tomoyo as a present.
I was finally able to release this with my team ^^ You guys can check out ep 1 with English subs here: http://justblthings.weebly.com/love-is-more-than-a-word.html
