I’m just beginning ep 17. Please, PLEASE someone, for the love of god, tell me that the FL leaves this A**HOLE of a ML. He’s so cruel to her, does she not have any dignity??
Adding even more love to what's already here. I love love LOVE this article, and my PTW list is now even longer. Could you make a list next time for mature romance cdramas? What i mean by "mature" is: no school dramas. Some categories to consider: love triangle, obsessive/stalker leads, etc. Can't wait for your next article!
OMG, I so needed this article, thank you! Got a lot of new shows to watch. I'm a newbie to cdramas but I've been frustrated so far :-( Dropped Go Go Squid and Miss Crow with Mr Lizard because I couldn't stand watching these FLs dressed like middle schoolers cosplaying as adults. I'm currently watching My Sunshine (2015), the drama, and it's better.
My question: Can you recommend some modern Chinese dramas, (hopefully with a romance angle) with strong(er) FLs? What I mean by "strong" is that they stand up for themselves and make conscious decisions, instead of bowing their head all the time mumbling "I'm sorrys".
Thanks and looking forward to more of your unpopular opinions.
Tiffany Tang's acting in this drama was so bad. She literally had this wooden acting from beginning to end. Janice…
I couldn't agree more. I'm on ep 17, please tell me that the FL stands up more for herself and makes better choices!!! And please, can I hate the ML even more? Who asks a woman to get married by telling her to "get your personal documents"? His behavior is so wrong on so many levels.
Is there a similar show to this one where the couple gets together earlier in the series? In this one, I feel like they only got together at the last episode.
This drama is so direct and to the point that I have a hard time finding anything to dislike about it.I've seen…
Man, a real kiss in less than 5 minutes!!! I think jdramas are where it’s at if I’m feeling something more than PG-13. Now if only I could understand why the Japanese actors constantly look like they need a good hair brushing....
Even though I love Lee Joon Ki, I've dropped this at the middle. Does the pace pick up at any point? Is the ending…
Don't bother. There are much better dramas out there. By god, I adore Lee Joon Ki but even he couldn't save the childish antics of the FL. She was beyond infuriating and hearing her say "sunbaenim" over and over again only emphasized that more.
Shoot, sorry to burst everyone’s bubble but I struggled to get to episode 6 and I just can’t get over How the FL and her boyfriend go from one bad decision to another. My god, seriously...
Watch this show without any expectations. And enjoy the actual kissing between the leads. Seriously, one of the best, most realistic kiss(es) I've seen from any kdrama. No "kissing the wall" smooches here.
I really completed this within 2 hours. I knew the ending, was not keen on the chemistry between In Sung and Minhyuk,…
I agree with you. I watched the entire series in one afternoon without any expectations. It was highly underdeveloped I guess coz it was so short, but god, WHY did they not give Cha Do Hoon more screen time??
Ah well, sometimes you need a no-commitment show like this as a palate cleanser. This show also reminds me of Perfect and Casual.
Aw kuh-RAP! I love Lee Min Ki and Kang Min Hyuk, but if the comments are this bad, I refuse to waste time on this show. I've got so much respect for MDL reviews, they're almost always right in my book.
