Maybe the prosecutor's father pressured the boss to give up on Sena's father, or even paid him to drop the case, which led to the father's death. That would explain how the boss can now afford a huge office and employ top lawyers. Remember the flashbacks when he used to sit at the bus stop with Sena? He didn't look like someone who could even afford a taxi ride. Compared to now, his suits weren't as shiny or polished.
