I'm sorry, I'm not trying to start a fight or anything but how was that joke racist? I thought it was just a comparison…
I'm both Black and a historian and I found it funny, and not racist, but that's probably because I understand the joke. The Zimbabwean dollar has historically been one of the worst currencies. In 2009, the government had to suspend the currency due to hyperinflation causing 1 USD = 35 quadrillion Zimbabwean dollars (yes you read that right). The currency was eventually brought back but this year hyperinflation is already at 130%+.

The joke the drama is making is that the product is as worthless as a worthless currency, which the Zimbabwean dollar essentially is (and a lot of Zimbabweans prefer to use the USD). It's an intellectual joke and not a haha funny joke.

Title The Uncanny Counter Spoiler
I don't think who are angry at Wigen understands the gravity of the situation.First of all, So Mun was impulsive…
I agree with what you said. On the other hand, Wi Gen should have communicated with him better about the importance of keeping his emotions in check. He's a child, I feel like this should have been in his initial training especially after the incident at the school. So Mun messed up (many times) but it was obvious it was going to happen. He's an emotional kid. The other counters also normalized it by getting too wrapped up in his personal issues. Wi Gen should have stepped in a long time ago and put things into perspective. It seems like the other counters have close relationships with their partners while Wi Gen and So Mun only speak when something is wrong. Cutting him off now without having done her part to prepare him came across as cruel, even though it was the right thing to do.

This drama was stunning. I had been putting it off for the longest time but I'm glad that I finally watched it. The writing was great. The acting was great. The direction was great. The best part was how consistent everything was throughout. The storytelling didn't dip in the second half, like most dramas, and the ending wasn't drawn out. I wish the male lead had been promoted for all his hard work, but that probably wouldn't have been realistic. Overall I think I liked this drama because it makes a little part of you feel uncomfortable despite enjoying it.
