Title Double Mints
are they all brothers or something, why is all of their last names the same
Kanji spelling is different for their names. So their names are like homonyms especially in English romanization. Like how theirs Sarah, Sarah, or Sean and Shawn

Title My Beautiful Man Spoiler
I think it would be Hira's imagination. Kiyoi hasn't kissed anyone apart from Hira in the novel
I would kill to know where to read the novel or manga lol. But that's me being impatient and also knowing that source material exists lol. Either way I'm loving the slow burn, especially with the cinematography that I'm in love with in Japanese BLs.

OK, but what does the book have to do with anything? We aren't reading it, we're watching the series. Are you…
I'm more saying that, at least for myself, if had i had not know what the novel was actually like with the portrayal of characters I'd probably wouldve enjoyed the series more. The series is based of a novel, and yes I get creative liberties occur when adapting from novel to film. GmmTV, and a lot of other production companies, have a bad habit of adding toxic or unnecessary drama to their series, or feeding more into problematic stereotyping. Granted is has vastly improved in the last year, don't get me wrong. However, Ton's entire homophobic attitude and perception was never in the original novel, same with the drama and expectations with his dad. The novel story is more of a tsudere character coming to self realization and self acceptance of their feelings with more equal story telling from both perspectives, the series we mostly only see from Chon's eyes. GmmTV couldve gone more slapstick comedy or used different tropes for the drama, especially since it was presented as a more light hearted show. It's just left a bad taste in my mouth knowing how drastic the types of differences there. Like i said in my earlier comment, if i didn't know i was going to treat the satires as a satire comedy and it wouldve been under my belt as a meh series with good moments.

Counterpoint to this. He practised the rope-tying on his wrist which makes no sense if he was trying to do something…
Check Viki those other series are Rated R also. Viki bases their rating of the airing ratings given by the Korean Media Board since their officially "aired" shows. Red dot ratings, which is closer to NC-17 in the US, often are given to series and films that feature Gay characters as the main role and show kisses. This things is the Red dot rating is pretty vague so whoever can lump things that stray too far from accepted "norm" can be thrown in there. With SK still being pretty conservative they do throw a lot of queer content under "adult" rating. The closest mainstream airing of positive of gay characters I've seen is from Love With Flaws and they didnt even kiss, and their total screen time for their budding relationship was barely 15min.

I get what you mean on how the tone is different and compared to the fluffy kbl. And actually now that i think about it (since i write in free flow thought and dont want to restart on mobile) that 15+ could actually be people mistranslating the Korean Ratings System. Cuz a yellow dot which is "15+" in South Korean is actually an R rating in the US which is why Viki has it listed as a R in the English app. Omg my mind is blown at this realization, and at all the potential "incorrect " ratings since user can submit shows

This 1st is the wiki for general Korean Ratings:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korea_Media_Rating_Board

This second link goes into a little more detail on the ratings but are essentially the same info:
https://rating-system.fandom.com/wiki/Korea_Media_Rating_Board

This last link is an interview HOLLAND did a while back. They briefly talk about the rating of his MV and focus a bit more on his music and societal commentary and discrimination of LGBTQ in South Korean.

The R rating doesn't have anything to do with how dark it is, but becauss the focus is on a Gay couple. South Korea is still very conservative and has strong censorship around LGBTQ. If you noticed WYEL, Mr Heart, Wish You are all rated R and arent that graphic, it's because of the kiss. The gay Kpop indie singer HOLLAND talked about this in an interview but his first solo MV: Neverland got essentially a R rating because of a kiss.

Title Tonhon Chonlatee Spoiler
Sooo im way ready to be done with this series. Like I was willing to take a grain a salt and treat it as a satire.…
TLDR:
IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE A BASIC TSUNDERE LOVE STORY!!!
Tonhon wasn't homophobic and the homophobia plot didn't exist.
Chonlatee was extremely flamboyant.
There was no dad story line.
Miriam didnt exist.
Ai and Ni wasnt closeted.
Dad wasnt even mentioned.

The YT channel that talks about it is: byulsarang

I'm not the only one who knows this is rated R.... How the hell this series contains nudity and violence I mean…
South Korea is still very much socially conservative, especially when it comes LGBT stuff. Basically if there is gay characters and there even is one kiss it gets an automatic R rating. The solo indy artist HOLLAND who is from Korean comments about this especially with his debut MV "Neverland" and subsequent interviews. Gay characters can exist in the media there, they're just not allowed to kiss or be romantic. TT^TT
