Iām chuckling because I just finished Century of Love, and I watched the entire show thinking that San was played…
Ok. So now that I completed Love in Translation, I take it back about OffRoad. His character was not exactly the same as in Century of Love. When LIT started off, he was doing that cheesy grinning similar to Vee. I guess someone told OffRoad that he has a charming smile, so he ran with it. Lol!!!
I have to admit, I didnāt like Phumjai at first. He was to immature, giggling and fangirlingā¦.or is that fanboyingā¦.hahaā¦.over Tammy. it was over the top and annoying. And when he started the business with Yang, he was being immature, looking at his phone instead of paying attention to his work. That annoyed me. Also, when he kept knocking on Yangās door to have him respond to Tammy for him. So I wasnāt feeling Phumjai at first, but then he grew on me as he started to mature. The way he fell for Yang and realizing that Tammy wasnāt the person for him. The way he helped Yang get out of his situation and how he helped his employee Bowgie. He had a big heart, so he eventually won me over. š
Ok, Iām kinda spellbound by Daou. His character Yang is a complete different character than San in Century of Love. I see NO resemblance in Daou in these two characters. Every episode of LIT I tried to find some resemblance between Yang and San, but couldnāt. Are we absolutely sure that itās the same actor playing both roles? Lol š Iāve always been spellbound by actors who can completely transform themselves between roles.
And another bonusā¦..Daou can actually SING!! I just came across a video of him singing. Wow!!! Incredible voice! Iām always leery when I see in the actorās bio that theyāre actor/singer. Itās like half of the BL actors are actor/singer, but some of them are terrible singers. LOL!!! So I was pleasantly surprised. Daou is incredibly talented in both acting and singing. Canāt wait to see his next project.

I kept thinkingā¦..San doesnāt look anything like his picture on My Drama List. Thereās a good reason why!! š¤£š¤£
I started Love in Translation because I like to compare and contrast the different characters an actor play. Now I will say that Daou looks TOTALLY different in looks and personality between San and Yang, AND his profile pic on My Drama List. I would have never guess that they were the same actor. š Offroad is basically playing the same character in Century in Love and Lost in Translation.
I donāt understand what exactly is tong up to. Does he want ming to have a crush on him, which could still be…
I get the impression that Tong is in it for the money. He knows that Ming has a crush on him, and wants to string him along. I also think that he doesnāt love Mingās sister. He just wants to be linked to their wealthy family. He doesnāt care if the link is through Ming or May.
Thanks for the explanation. Iām sure a lot of us were confused about the last two episodes. Your explanation cleared up my questions. Did you know this because you read the manga??
If Phaya takes the necklace off, what's Tharn to do? Is he supposed to glue it to Phaya's neck? Phaya knows about…
The abbot didnāt tell Tharn to stay away from Chalothorn, but he did tell Tharn to keep Phaya and Chalothorn apart without any explanation. So Tharn basically ignored that warning.
Ohm without Fluke??? This should be interesting. After 609 Bedtime Story and Oh! My Sunshine Night , Iāve had enough of those two. Time to move on with other pairings. š
maybe it's weird but i'm glad for this lol. i don't wanna watch romance in idealistic school where is everything…
I want to see more adult romances away from school settings as well. Iām just saying that there are other scenarios they can come up with other than office romances. Iād be more ok with office romances if it were peer romances and not a manager/subordinate relationship like Step By Step and A Boss and a Babe. The manager/subordinate relationship is not realistic in many countries. I donāt know standard HR laws in Thailand, but here in America thatās a huge, big, Heck to the NO!!!! Both parties could get fired for that. Canāt imagine Thailand companies being ok with it either. š«¤š
Ugghhā¦.another office romance BL? Is that the theme for 2023? A Boss and a Babe, Unintentional Love Story, Our Dating Sim, Bed Friend. Those are the ones that Iāve watched this year. Iām sure thereās more.
Donāt they realize that people donāt go to the office for romance?? Feels like itās either a high school/university romance or workplace romance. Studios, diversify these storylines.
because he supressed his feelings for him thinking he is straight actually pat was the first one to have feelings…
Right. Also, Pat assumed that Jeng was straight. In an earlier episode when Pat was trying to find ādirtā on Jeng, he found lipstick in Jengās apartment and assumed it was Jengās girlfriendās. Even though he learned later that it was Jengās nieceās lipstick, Pat most likely continue to assume that Jeng is straight.
The writing on this is good so far - often time travel stories are a mess. The problem though is that Kawi is…
So itās not just me that gets annoyed by those double/triple take scenes. It truly irks tf out of me. I donāt understand it as well why asian countries do this.
Me and my friend had a conversation about Kawee being whiny and acting like heās 12 instead of 18. Normally a whiny character would annoy me, but Krist is playing it so adorably that itās not annoying me. But I will expect to see some growth in Kawee. I think a lot of it has to do with him being alone, introverted, and lacking self confidence, stunting his socialization skills. Heās so focused on changing the outcome of his relationship with Prae, he doesnāt see how selfish heās being with Pisaeng right now. But I believe he will evolve.
As far as Krist being able to pull off more serious aspects of the role, I have no doubt that he can. He sold me in the first episode when he first went back in time and his saw father alive. Iām not an emotional person but that scene brought tears to my eyes. So yes, I think he will probably surprise us even more as the show progress.
