Every time I scroll through, I see passerbys saying she isn’t cut out for romance dramas. And honestly, I get it. If I see anyone claiming she’s a ‘gifted actress,’ I can’t say I’ve seen any evidence of that in my four years of watching her. Sure, some folks say she’s a ‘promising actress,’ but after this drama, all those opinions will probably be thrown out the window.

Now, Chen Feiyu, that’s a different story. He’s one of my favorite ‘nepo babies’ because he’s actually hardworking and talented—and let’s not forget, easy on the eyes with that nose of his. He’s proven he’s more than just a ‘nepo baby,’ but unfortunately, thanks to this FL, bad writing, and direction, people are starting to question him. They just need to wait until his next project drops to see what a good co-star, writing, and producer can do.

As for Sabrina, I don’t have much personal info since I’m not in her fan circle, but she's known as one of the ‘Beijing princesses’ because of her wealthy family connections, along with her two friends, Teresa Li and Julia Xiang. They say her family has strong ties to the entertainment industry and even the government—though I’m not sure how much truth there is to that. Apparently, Sabrina was discovered in kindergarten for a commercial or something and debuted in 2012. You’d think by now she’d have learned a lot, but honestly, she’s still just a basic actress. There are so many others who debuted after her and have way more impressive work under their belt. It’s clear you can rely on connections to get ahead, but at some point, you’ve got to deliver or you will constantly be called out.

Who am I to judge her? Just a viewer who wants to enjoy a drama but unfortunately, she’s in it. And before you say, ‘Don’t watch it,’ let’s be real. this drama isn’t all about her. There are other actors who actually deserve to be watched and praised. I’m not trying to be rude, just stating what a lot of viewers feel every time she shows up on screen. It's not personal, just a little reality check.

I honestly don’t know who’s calling her a gifted actress, aside from her delusional fans. I’m not one to bash nepotism, after all, you can’t choose your family but let’s not pretend her powerful connections didn’t give her a major head start. The opportunities were all there, yet instead of taking a few acting classes, she chose to drink and party. Typical rich girl move! no class, no effort, just living off family connections.

Whoever keeps casting Sabrina Zhuang in romance dramas needs to be arrested. She keeps being paired with male leads who have previously starred in hit dramas, and yet, the moment they work together, it turns into an eyesore... because of her and who takes the fall for this disaster? Not the robot acting prodigy, but the one actually bringing in the viewers and effortlessly embodying the essence of romance. Honestly, is it really that difficult to portray being in love with a man? Then again, watching her try to create chemistry is like watching someone try to start a fire with wet matches.

The ML acting is fine, Arthur plays every role of his perfectly fine but he can't control waht is given to him. The direction does need work and so does the writing. Sorry the Fl is dragging him down with her bad acting and visuals.

Lin Boyang 100% should have been the fl! Her visuals and acting are more suitable for this role.

The comedy was absolutely terrible. If you’re looking for a laugh with stand up comedy, watch “later, i laughed” the jokes were actually funny

A drama that promised a toxic trio of friends—only to leave us with weak, broken bonds and nowhere to go. Classic. I mean, seriously, when has a man ever started something he can’t finish? Haha, I’ve seen this story too many times before. The plot had potential, but once it hit the middle, it crumbled.

Writers, really? When romance is needed, you give us nothing. But when it’s not? You shove it down our throats like it’s the only thing that matters. I was craving some true, messy, hometown-style drama—not this watered-down version.

My trip is over, darlings. Time to return to the real showstoppers.

Someone tried to lure me in with a recommendation that promised all the charm of a fairy tale. But just like every other supposed masterpiece, I was left with nothing but a cringe and a pile of unmet expectations. The male and female leads? Yes, charming at first glance. But by episode three, I was convinced they were just two friends awkwardly playing dress-up as lovers.

It had all the potential to be a hit—but instead, it felt more like two siblings trying to pretend they weren’t siblings. A complete waste of a storyline that could’ve been better… but I’m no storyteller, darling.

Moral of the story: charm is only charming if it delivers. And this? Didn’t.

And the jokes? Please. I’ve heard better punchlines at Constance’s freshman talent show. The only thing worth watching was the height difference—and even that deserves a better script.
