He just found out the truth. It’s shocking. What Ye Li’s family did costs him his brother’s death, as well…
I was really venting coz I like them together but you have decribed it all quite eloquently including your own comment above.
It just feels like he wants to reject her explanation on the grounds that he is devastated because he thinks she is just repaying a debt / guilt and YL seems to have like a mental block to explain herself well about the whole situation due to the stress, etc. So it is just super frustrating…
But he is astute and he has noticed something is overall wrong with her but during the end of the episode and his subsequent decision/ actions indicate that he wants to just block it out too. I mean he knows she is all alone in the world and I think she has been pretty sincere in the relationship thus far.
According to the previews, he will discover the truth about her and Lishan and feel regret and possibly they will mend and heal and all but his initial reaction although may be more measured than some CDramas, is still disappointing.
after ep 30: Sure, everyone’s feelings are valid but BRO. MXY, you really did/ doing YL dirty. I am utterly appalled and disappointed by his whiny behaviour and super max victim attitude!!! Do better.
i know this isn’t for everyone but i personally loved it! Qingtong is one of the smartest FLs out there! altho i did think the spidey animation was weird… and cmon Cheng Yi is brilliant as Fugui <3 their love comforted me somehow… and Rumu was hilarious and Yunfei was adorbs and their SOs were beautiful and soulful.
😂 yeah that's a normal reaction. Just don't hype yourself up too much either. "Epic love" is a very subjective…
yeah haha defly good advice! i honestly went in clueless… didn’t know much about the storyline, just skimmed thru whenever an article (none of my pals are into wuxia or xianxia, sadly…) recommended it as one of the best.. etc etc… hehehe but i think what eventually did make it epic for me (finally finished it! woohoo) was Mark Chao’s portrayal of both characters - the sometimes overconfident but devoted and tortured Ye Hua and the wise and selfless mentor figure Mo Yuan. <3 oh and it didn't hurt that he was super dreamy too!
just started this recently and man i really hate scheming delulu biyotches!!! but love ML (altho i wanna kick him so many times midway thru the story) and the FL (altho i wanted to slap her a few times too midway thru the story!!!) can’t wait for the rest of the story… so i can hopefully realise the epic love that everyone has been on abt…
