I loathe the fact that, while this POS man may stumble a bit in his career, he most lilkey will bounce back in the future, potentially becoming even more famous and successful.
Look y'all, when the SK entertainment industry decides to make and air a talent show called "Under 15", ( the title is so gross, ewww)looking for new talent between the ages of 9 and 15, y'all now know that the entertainment industry is rife with groomers and predators, and no one gives a fuck anymore. They stick up for each other and continue to be deviants in a souless industry.
That corrupt industry is why KSH will walk away, unscathed and unbothered. Disgusting, really.
If you're blaming the victim, I urge you to take a closer look at the realities of grooming. Educate yourself on its impact, and then come back and tell us if you still feel the same way. It's honestly shocking how many people are unaware of the serious and lasting consequences grooming can have on the victims.
Nothing about this relationship became "normal" and "right" just because it supposedly lasted after Sae-ron legally became an adult. Truly, I cannot with some of y'all, really smh right now.
What the hell are you talking about.KSR was just 15 she was literally a child and this guy took advantage of her…
LMAO I do use my brain, and you obviously don't. Yes her family should have been there, but they weren't, and he was, and he took advantage of that. And how do you know she would have been manipulated by him if she did come back? Why should she not have the right to get her life back on track and away from this toxic man!
What the hell are you talking about.KSR was just 15 she was literally a child and this guy took advantage of her…
I cannnot believe I even need to answer this. As a young adult, Sae-ron most likely had a great sense of dependency on Kim Soo Hyun, thus resulting in her not being able to make proper adult decisions. Why? Because he GROOMED her since she was 14/15.
Do you not understand the defintion of grooming?? The affects of grooming don't magically dissappear when someone legally becomes an adult. Most likely, she was emotionally stunted due to the relationship she had with this POS man. That is what is so tragic about her death. He took her agency away at such an incredibly young age, and she was never able to get it back because he kept on messing with her even after they broke up. She was never able to heal from this *ucked up relationship.
Even at the age of 25, she was never emotionally an adult, OK? You can thank Kim Soo Hyun for that!
Wdym , Sae Ron was literally a minor.. just 15 YEARS OLD.. do some research before you comment please.
"The rational part of a teen's brain isn't fully developed and won't be until age 25 or so. In fact, recent research has found that adult and teen brains work differently. Adults think with the prefrontal cortex, the brain's rational part." - University of Rochester Medical Center
Actually, no, she did not have "the brain" to devlop a relationship with a grown man. He, on the other hand, did. Hope that helps!
His Wikipedia page had been updated. Let's see how long this stays on it.
Controversy "In March 2025, Kim became subject to grooming allegations, stemming from statements and photos from the family of actress Kim Sae-ron, who died of suicide on February 16, 2025, the same day as his birthday.[129][130][131] The family alleged that Kim had been in a six-year-long relationship with Kim Sae-ron beginning in 2015, when he was 27 and the actress was 15, respectively.[132][133][134] Gold Medalist subsequently denied the allegations, announcing plans to take the "strongest possible legal action" against the claimants.[135][136]"
It is honestly heartbreaking how the entertainment industry seems to turn a blind eye to situations like this. A quick Google search will show you countless examples of Hollywood men who "dated" famous teen girls while those men were in their 20s and even 30s. Not a single one of those men got canceled, and they all continued to have prosperous careers.
The fact that Sae-ron was so young when it all started is appalling enough. But what is equally disgusting is how, after 6 years, this man dumped her whe she probably looked to him for emotional support, and then he had the audacity to demand his money back by threatening a law suit. This forced Sae-ron to beg him for help, only for him to ghost her in the end. I can't even begin to imagine the betrayl she must have felt from this POS man. What an absolute tragedy. How do we protect these barely-legal girls from these predator men?
If the allegations are true, then every actor in SK, particulary female actors, need to decline projects with this man and his agency. Anyway, given their connection, I just thought it was gross how he did not even show up for her funeral. That was damning in of itself. Karma better do her job with this one!
Edit - eww... just saw the text Sae-ron sent to her "Oppa", begging him not to sue her for the money he gave her for her situation. She begged him to save her. What a POS this man is.
I love me a good slow-burn, but this was not it at all. This drama took forever to get going and was boring along the way. Also, ML was bossy and possessive of FL, which normally I don't mind in other dramas, but ML/FL did grow up as siblings in the same household, so seeing a "brother" be all up in his "sister's " buisness, acting jealous and petulant, was all kinds of annoying and flat-out weird.
In addition, I don't mind age gaps at all, but ML was only 19, while FL was 26, when this was drama was filmed. I dunno, that's a bit ick for me, I guess.
And the bandage on ML's neck was so distracting. Perhaps it was covering a tattoo? Wouldn't it have been easier to just find clothing to disguise it , like hoodies, shirts with collars, or turtle necks, rather than stick a tacky-looking bandage on it? If TPTB didn't want to spend money on wardrobe, then they could have at least spent some of the budget $$ to buy tattoo cover-up makeup that actors use. So cheap, lol.
I'm dropping this after 12 eps. This drama is a reminder as to why I don't like most second chance romances. It's boring when the ML/FL just pick up the ship again without first hashing out what was the main issue for the breakup.
Also, I became far more interested in 2nd Ml's story arc than the main ML( 2nd ML is a better actor, playing a more complex character than main ML 🤷♀️), much like I did in the Kdrama "Strong Girl Namsoon", and I just know it won't end well for him, like I assume 2nd ML is up to no good due to a tragic past, so I'm gonna peace out now and save myself the headache I know I would get later on from finishing this drama.
After watching When the Phone Rings, I dug deep and found this drama which gives me the same melodramatic vibes, and it's not disappointing me despite being 10 years old?
After dropping "My Demon" last week ( so boring!) I decided to give this drama a shot, and I'm so glad I did.
This show was fast-paced, without any unnecessary filler, like I did not FF at all! The serial murder plot was gripping and kept me on the edge of my seat because Kang Bit Na - Justitia was such a fun, badass character to watch for 14 episodes. Also, the relationship building between the FL/ML felt balanced for this type of drama and played out nicely throughout each episode, like it wasn't overkill and did not overshadow the serial murder plot. However, the open ending was a bit of a letdown. Like, it's literally a cliff-hanger- so, why?? 😢Open endings are not my cup of tea as I like everything tied up nicely. Fingers crossed for a season 2!
their younger self had incredible chemistry and that spark. personally, it would have been a lot better if the…
I agree about the younger Ji Wons. Honestly, I would have preferred a 10-year time jump, instead of 20 year one, with the same young actors, and a storyline focusing on their careers and family issues at that point in their lives. It would have been much more engaging. for me as a viewer, to stick with the couple who had the better chemistry, imo.
I must say, I really enjoyed the dynamic between the younger Ji Won couple compared to their older selves. The younger duo had a spark and connection that was much more palpable. On the other hand, the older pair just didn't bring the same level of chemistry. And that whole misunderstanding with the male school nurse? Seriously, it was awkward to watch and downright unnecessary.
This drama consists of 11 episodes on Viki. More dramas should be this concise and focused. It's a perfect watch when you're taking a break from longer series. Plus, the male lead (ML) is a great kisser, and the chemistry or "skinship" between the main leads (ML/FL), when they finally get together, feels authentic, like a real relationship should be. Bonus: The secondary couple was also quite enjoyable. Give it a go when you are tired of the longer dramas!
I just finished watching this drama. I have no issue with Dr. Cha's ending at all. She chooses herself, which is appropriate given that she was in a soul-sucking marriage for 20+ years. My issue is with Dr. Roy's wrap-up at the end of the drama. After the three-year time jump, the writers' treated him like an after-thought, as if he wasn't even a main lead for 16 episodes. If Dr. Roy is happy, then show it, don't tell it. Come on writers, that's like the golden rule of writing. Dr. Roy deserved better from the writers.
Might be yuck for you but there are many couples in real life who have that big age difference that might like…
The female lead's own real life husband is like 12 years younger, and they seem really happy together. To each their own. I don't know why people get so bent out of shape about age gaps when it comes to older women and younger men.
"Say, KSH, I hear you like 'em young
You better not ever go to cell block one
To any b!tch that talk to him and they in love
Just make sure you hide your lil' sister from him
Why you trolling like a b!tch? Ain't you tired?
