despite the variety of irritations in the last stretch of episodes (cdrama classic) and despite both leads each doing one of my least fav tropes (hiding identity for too long vs noble idiocy), this drama made this heart of mine that I thought was dead, beat again. I haven’t felt this way in so long. An all timer, easily.

I agree with you so much like how is no one else concerned about this … I would also feel grossed out if the ML was a minor and paired with an adult woman, because I’m not a weirdo, but how is this drama not getting more criticism and scrutiny for casting a 17 year old child as the romantic interest to a 28 year old man….it sucks because I’m so interested in the plot but I absolutely can’t watch this lmao

A beautiful drama that comes full circle, a drama unique in its allowance for a FL to start off intelligent and strong, and stay consistent in that even after falling in love. From beginning to end, she was allowed to have insight, agency, and impact. ML and FL worked in tandem like two halves of a whole, genuinely a partnership of equals. Absolutely peak romance. It also avoided common tropes - there were times I was prepared to be disappointed, because it seemed it would use a common trope seen in many dramas but that I hate. But this one did not let me down, it chose differently. A drama borne from the desires of my very heart

I really liked the novel, I hope this drama does justice to the characterization of the FL. This was one story where the FL and ML were genuinely matched in wits, where sometimes the ML would actually be outmaneuvered by the FL (which is usually never allowed to happen!)

Ok u guys, please don’t come for me but im always wary of Allen Ren in romance dramas because the romance often tends to be stiff and lack intimacy. Romance is why I watch dramas (romance and a good FL) - will I like this? Should I watch?

How is the FL characterized in this, does she have agency in the plot? Is this worth watching?
