Enjoying this a lot more than I thought i would. The slow build up for fl and ml is great, especially how they…
As long as ML and SML dont go from BFFs to immortal enemies who sabotage each other constantly I support this triangle.

Review Dream to You
What you're saying is true, but I can't give you a pass because your rating is way too high
You are probably right, Yul Eum happens to be my weakness and I am a sucker for interesting cinematography so I might have a little been biased...

One part that I really don't get is how the FL family convinces major shareholders that she is a bad CEO. Her "scandals" are comical at best, and hasn't she been extremely successful as a CEO and growing the company year over year? Who's going to replace her? The other insanely incompetent family members? An outside-hire professional CEO? Why is the aftermath of her being pushed out not being considered by shareholders who mostly only care about shareholder value, which she seems to be raising?
Like, for example, I could see how Cha Se-gye (from My Royal Nemesis) would be a terrible company representative in basicaly any capacity, so it makes sense that he would be pushed out of the company and there would be major shareholders who wouldn't want him involved in the business, but I just struggle to see any sort of sense for Yeo Ri given that her image is not even that bad. She is considered strange/weird at most by the general public and minor shareholders.
I get that there needs to be some evil forces or whatever, but I just wish that the writers had given us something more substantial than in-family fighting and an evil aunt or whatever.

Is it the first time a second male lead was this offended from FL's rejection that he wants to sabotage her everywhere.…
Unfortunately this is a classic SML plot device, I've seen it too many times. Hurting someone you supposedly love just because the didn't end up with you is just beyond me, but it seems like the poor SMLs are left no choice thanks to the writers.

I'm liking it so far. It's my first time seeing the FL actress, and I think she is wonderful here. The supporting cast is also great. Shout out to my "villainesses," Mrs. Yu and Lady Zuo; both are fantastic. Never seen those ladies give a bad performance.
For once, the ML is not an emperor or the Crown Prince, which I am very happy about. Apparently, the actor is getting hate for having bad posture and his mannerisms. He even had to apologize on SNS. Are we watching the same show? Isn't this guy supposed to be a salt smuggler? He is literally a rogue bandit... Where would he learn to keep proper posture? While fighting on the streets? Maybe during months-long smuggling runs? While never receiving any proper schooling or education of any kind? The reasoning for the hate escapes my understanding.

I like the drama so far; it's pretty fun, although I wish there was more supernatural stuff happening. And also, I think Park Eun Bin is the only modern K-Drama actress who never disappoints with her performance. My utmost respect to her for being this consistently good for so long.

Title Dream to You
First, the positives. The cinematography, framing and camera work almost feel like an MV at some points, which is actually quite refreshing, so I want to applaud the PDnim and DPnim and the entire production team for their hard work and unique style and for actually trying something different for once.

As for the plot, this series is a real mixed bag. It has a lot of dramatic elements clumped together. It seems as if every sad backstory trope you can think of, the ML and FL have experienced, yet they honestly just don't seem like people with pretty tragic pasts. Some of the performances don't land, and the drama is starting to drag towards the end. I am also just getting tired of all these reunions and second-chance romance plots. Seems like every other modern drama is following this template.

As many pointed out, SML and SFL have an interesting dynamic, but their screentime is literally like 5 mins per episode (it does increase later on, but at this point I'm checked out), yet it suffers a similar fate of becoming somewhat stagnant.

Overall, just struggling to empathize with any of the characters in this series, so this is just not for me.

It's actually quite common in Asia to sleep on a mat or a futon on the floor instead of a bed or a couch, especially…
A lot of people say that sleeping on the floor is good for your back/posture I don't think there is any empirical evidence to support this, however, from my person experience sleeping on the floor occasionally (like once a month) can actually help with lower back pain and decompress your spine. Give it a try and see how you feel, Its quite uncomfortable for a some of people but its really helpful for other folks, so its not all bad.

Just finished it. It's fluffy and cute. If you are into lighthearted, school-setting plots, this is for you. The friends group is really cute, and Tian Xi Wei is as charming as ever. If you are a fan of hers, I highly recommend it.
For recent fans coming after Pursuit of Jade, please temper your expectations. This is a modern-setting romance drama about a very smart girl, so do not go in expecting something similar to POJ. The genres/scale/setting/characters/personalities are all completely different.

Title Genius Girlfriend Spoiler
1)is there love triangle? if there how much deep it is ?2)when do leads will be together ep ?3)is there any breakup…
1) Yes but they are still in school so romance isnt really in the books for FL, ML and SML. They are more like friends but its pretty obvious that ML and SML treat her differently. FL isn't very experienced with social interactions so she doesn't notice anything ever lol, everyone else knows tho. Even after the time skip SML didn't really try to go after FL even though it was heavily implied that he was still into her, so I would say the triangle is there on paper but really SML was never an option even in his own head it seems.
2) They reunite on episode 20-22 or around there, they start dating around episode 26 maybe 27. Sorry don't remembered exactly.
3) No break up but there is a period of 5 years where ML and FL go no contact right after high school. They are not dating, just best friends before he leaves. ML doesn't tell anyone why he left. FL is looking for him. They eventually reunite.
4) Yes, super happy for every character except SML ofc. They never get a happy ending :(

Started excited about Lin Zhixia and Jiang Yubai, ended up waiting for the romance of Lin zeqiu and Jin Baihui,…
100% agree on Ting Ting & Qi Yan

I did enjoy the show, but I did have some gripes with it that left me pretty annoyed. Personally, I didn't understand why they put Ting Ting & Qi Yan together. It was super frustrating when they introduced the restaurant owner just for her to become a plot device that puts them together. I actually quite liked her for Qi Yan; it felt like something was happening there. Ting Ting & Qi Yan were friends for like 25+ years without any change to their relationship, so what made them suddenly develop feelings for each other? I felt like that part wasn't really shown on screen. There were signs of great friendship for sure, but not romance. I found it all quite puzzling. Childhood friends do not need to become couples; they can stay as friends.
Regarding Shen Fu Xuan, the guy was abroad for 5 years; it's quite strange that he was so hung up on our genius, but I guess it's customary for the poor SML to like the FL no matter the circumstances, time passed or any common sense. I find this to be the most consistent trope in C-Dramas, but what can you do?
I actually really adored FL's brother as a character from high school to when he became an adult. His romance with Jin Bai was really sweet, but the sudden proposal/marrige was kind of insane. It felt like they knew they were just getting to know each other.
Oh, and Jiang Yubai spying on his friends, whom he went no contact with for 5 years, was kind of weird. Sorry y'all!

Pausing ep 27 to ask a question I have meant to ask since the first time Jiang Yubai slept on the ground instead…
It's actually quite common in Asia to sleep on a mat or a futon on the floor instead of a bed or a couch, especially if you are a guest at someone else's place. In his case as well, as you pointed out, he is quite tall, so sleeping on a futon would be more comfortable.

This drama is a pretty fun watch. The humour is a bit cringe, but honestly, I prefer it that way. Even if the joke is bad/doesn't quite land, you can't help but smile. It's giving us pre-pandemic K-drama again. Big fan of both lead actors. Im Ji Yeon literally never ever disappoints; her characters are always the highlight, whether she is the lead or not. ML is finally getting lead roles. I thought he was great in When the Phone Rings. Good for him, he deserves it!

It's pretty fun to watch, though FL, SFL, and SML are pretty questionable people. The ML is almost out of place with how few personal problems/quirks he has. Actors are doing a great job tho.

Honestly, it started pretty well, but it completely lost momentum. I don't really feel like watching it anymore. The BIG reveal/fallout between them was painfully obvious, and honestly didn't feel as impactful as it should have. Love both lead actors and the supporting cast, but won't keep watching.
Also, the sleepwalking/insomnia reminded me too much of the First Snow, and it was done a lot better there.
