Title Popular Serizawa Acts Weird around Me
unfortunately i love a silly cliche dumb bl and this bl full-filled that for me. great characters, great rewatchability, great cinematography. i find the concept of "the popular kids" also having unique interests like boys love is very fun n silly and cute and how they all bond over it essentially. yes i was annoyed at suzuki like every single episode but idc i still love him and serizawa together. reminds me of a more fluffy silly version of my beautiful man where it's a loner x handsome prince type. they kept hinting at takeuchi and iwasaki possibly being a thing only to show none of it in the final episode. another critique i have are the kissing scenes like oh my god are they bad and like bare minimum lips touching. like it makes no sense to hold a kiss that long if your lips and body are gonna be perfectly stil like its so awkward to watch everytime and I think that might be mostly on suzuki's actor. I also think the final episode felt a little rushed and i just don't care for when a couple in a show are so madly in love with eachother that they go off and make out every 30 minutes in public (especially when serizawa and suzuki are NOT making out...), just like idk irritates me and there's something unrealistic about that. anyway, I appreciated a japanese BL going back to its roots and being comedic and stupid and fluffy because we've gotten mostly just serious or adult bls for a while before. would love to see ryota star in more stuff (just with a different partner), a strong 8.5 for me.

Title Ao to Midori Spoiler
ok episode 3 is still cute. ik people might dislike them bringing in a "possible" female love interest for midori but I think its very realistic how midori is still trying to figure out romance and his sexuality especially since we don't see him showing interest in romance in the past episodes. he's for sure slowly realizing his feelings towards towards ao as being more than just a close friend but someone he finds cute as well. ao of course fell for him first so it was a little bittersweet watching him interact with midori and trying to ask personal questions while also hinting at his own feelings for midori. i predict that midori might catch onto ao's interest in him quickly and basically try to get ao to confess it. very excited for the next episode

Title Ao to Midori
episode 2 was still great, loved seeing ao's perspective of highschool and midori. side note, i loved seeing a male character have supportive female friends that like understand him. it's not something you see quite often in BLs.

Title Good Boy
want to watch for the main leads but idk the plot summary is like turning me off of it. feels like high school return of a gangster (the webtoon) in the sense that some fully grownnnnn adult becomes a highschool student, a minor, and like falls in love with another student. like yes physically its fine but like his soul and well him at the start is 30 something, ykwim? it feels weird.

Title Ao to Midori
ok i have a lot to say about episode 1 (all positive). this is suchhhh a refreshing like start to a drama. it almost leads you to believe that the 2 leads will be rivals and it'll be a enemies to lovers type thing (which can I just say, I hate enemies to lovers/rivals trope, like just be nice ppl), but thats not the case at all. ao being top student or being faster in the race doesn't lead midori to hate him, it allows him to reflect on himself and be like really mature about everything. midori learns that ao isn't as perfect as their first encounters led him to think and that ao has his own silly cute quirks. I also love midori's friends so far and how his main friend (who's name i forget sorry) is very supportive and can also see right away that there's some chemistry between the 2. I don't normally care for time skip storylines but i like that their whole highschool experience and friendship was compacted in one episode that there isn't ahy weird harsh jump as the story goes on. very strong start and great characters so far
