The "ex"? I put in air quotes because I heard it was more of situationship, still it would be nice to see a bi…
Yeah, they were in an ongoing situationship throughout the webtoon. And yeah, there's always that risk. Hope this works out for Off; it could be great for his career
On casting: Tay as Oat (probably) is interesting. I wonder if they'll have any romantic scenes. I was hoping Foei wasn't playing T, but at least I won't feel bad when he gets his heart broken.
I think there are definitely GMMTV directors and screenwriters who care about the stories they're telling, but I think you're right about GMMTV's objectives and as a result creatives get shafted by needing to hit certain goals to make "moments" trend. Year after year, their shows get more formulaic. For this one in particular, I thought given the director's past works, she might actually get to take some risks. But it may have actually been to her detriment that this was a passion project for her; I don't think she could see the final product as an impartial viewer. (I've also seen a theory that this was K-pop fanfiction and... I believe it.)
FYI, William isn't the leader of LYKN. They don't have one.
I have seen thai idol/actors on social media being harassed for having relationships and for being friends with…
For sure, you'll see that in Y ships/fandoms. If they'd wanted to criticize that, it would've been great if they'd made a show about that instead of transposing it onto T-pop (or trying to make it a stand-in for K-pop), especially given that this will serve as a first T-pop introduction to the heavily international BL fanbase.
That's a good question. I kept checking whether a MV for that song pops up on GMMTV Records (like it did for all…
It occurred to me they might be using Last Beat Fan Party footage for the music video. That's the only reason I could think they would be holding it back.
The band is real! They're called lykn. I knee about them but I never actually followed much. Putting them in a…
There are only two T-pop groups with more followers than LYKN. You can't compare stats from the rest of the Thai entertainment industry to BL numbers which is the country's biggest entertainment soft power
I believe they had already filmed it when it was announced
Yeah, don't think there's been much hype for this. I only know because I follow TangBadVoice (the cinematographer). I don't mind, I kinda wanna gatekeep it haha
It was inevitable when combining two fandoms, there would be clashes. In devoted fandoms dealing with big emotions, there will be an angry minority on either side
