i think it depends a lot on the genre and just production companies realising there always is a fall in viewership at 12 episodes. personally i feel the storytelling has become better w the 12 8 episode shows but thats just now. soon we’ll want shorter and crisper shows and then who knows what will happen to drama culture sighh
i know 8.3 is a pretty high rating on mdl but honestly this deserves more. it had everything from good acting, to great casting, to great design. it had romance, comedy, tragedy and slice of life all in one executed so beautifully throughout 16 episodes. ive watched a lot of dramas and very few have made me enjoy every single episode with no skips and this is definitely one of them
its literally disgusting to see the way jin pyo's mom and sister react, like talking about awareness for da when your son and brother and literally doing the same. ugh i hated seeing his sister on screen
