i usually pass over articles like this, but i read it because i realize how much pressure we put on idols to live up to these perfect images so that we can continue to use them as commodities and suck the life out of them. ---this reminds me of mel gibson (thank you to jodie foster for sticking up for him and calling hollywood out on their cruelty) and justin beiber - two artists that i interacted with on a personal level--- we hoist them unto a pedestal and with even more zeal we knock them down from there. i just feel like we are the true criminals.
why do we need to be his judge and jury. just because he got into a physical altercation with his girlfriend, it doesn't mean that he is a bad person, or that we should condemn him from the industry. we really don't know why any of this was happened (if it is true), who is girlfriend is, and what she is actually like. we don't only hurt each other physically, but it is much easier to identify the physical and so we can point fingers, but we have no idea what they went through together, or whether she also caused him harm, so i don't really think we have a say in the matter.
i'm not a proponent of any kind of abuse. at the same time, let's just give these people a break, and let's stay out of their personal affairs.
why is it that their personal messages are leaked to the public? i have a greater issue with this. this is why i can't stand the media.
on the other hand, he might be an evil monster, but i really doubt that. this only happens in the fiction- including the dramas we so desperately love. really, the idea that a person is either good or bad is such an outdated concept.
she is bad at acting..seems like another boring dong wook drama :S
you know, i agree with you. but, i don't really know if it's the actor. i think it is the writers. even jang hyuk (whom i love) drove me crazy in the fated to love you remake. they use cheap gimmicks and sex appeal to catch the audience's attention in the first couple of episodes, but then they are so brazenly provide no substance after that. seriously, after secret love affair, everything else seems shotty.
