oh that's nice to hear:) i'll definitely give it a go, i was just asking because i can have a hard time watching things involving mental illnesses... but once i'm in the mood i want to get to this!

okay but this could have been expected (and i kind of love the way this turned out)... deep down adachi had doubts from the beginning and low self-esteem doesn’t just disappear in the blink of an eye (unfortunately). plus, kurosawa’s personality dictates his actions: he is a people-pleaser and holds adachi at utmost importance - of course he retreats the moment he feels he’s causing adachi distress

you should definitely check out the rest of the reply series (1994, 1997) tho 1988 is the greatest among them in my opinion :)

i must be in the wrong mood for it but Goblin just could not grab my attention at all TT it is the only drama i started watching this summer (mostly because of the hype) and i've been stuck with it for weeks now... maybe it's because i saw spoilers already or i should have watched it when it was airing. i still don't know what my overall opinion will be at the end
