I have to admit, scarlet heart has a more unique plot since it involves time-travelling and many princes and what not... but the China version did it better. I think the main attraction of this drama is the acting (the depth of the their acting here is really unbelievable considering their young age), the cinematography and the chemistry between the leads as well as others. If you watch the Chinese version of scarlet heart, perhaps you would find that the Korean version is indeed lacking in substance.

agree I started watching this drama with an open mind with no expectations whatsoever. And i thought it was a brilliant drama. I didn't expect anything so I wasn't disappointed. But i still think it's a 10/10

Just this summer, I went to Korea to watch Taeyeon's butterflykiss concert and it was an amazing experience, especially when I was so close to her. I felt so complete. I hope everyone gets to try it one day. This feeling is indescribable.
Tired of hyeji but more importantly, I feel like the show has lost its spark. Where has the feisty hawon who can kick multiple asses at once gone? The show kind of confuses me. One moment hyunmin pays so much attention to hawon and the next moment he ignores her. He even thought hyeji in that suit was hawon and wanted to dry her hair for her. That made me a bit nostalgic because that's what he would do when he was the old kanghyunmin in the first few eps where he tried to flirt with hawon. I really wished that he had some sincere feelings for hawon but now that wish is diminished because of hyeji. At that time he confessed to hawon, I thought his feelings were sincere but I don't know anymore. Maybe hyeji is too much to him that he can't let go. i can't help but keep thinking that hyunmin as a character is too much of a waste for hyeji... Just my thoughts.
