I like the small moments here and there whenever they switch back to heartfelt, serious tones, like when Shen Hao Ming and his mother had a heart to heart talk about wanting Xu Yan to come back. Or when Shen Hao Ming suddenly regrets many episodes later how badly he broke Xu Yan's heart when he told her that he never loved her- just through his facial expression alone, looking at the empty dining table. And at the same time, Xu Yan lost in thought, missing Shen Hao Ming, every time she eats her jam.

I completely agree and you have taken the words out of my mouth.
To add, the first part was sexy, smoldering, slick and tight. Shen Hao Ming was smart and obviously knew how to get the girl because he GOT the girl before. So why couldn't he pursue her the way he did in their dating phase the first time? Why has the tone switched to the comedy gimmick only to stretch the episodes longer. He is not chasing her. He is doing silly antics that a guy with no experience dating, like the doctor, would do! He knows how to play the game, all he has to do is tell her he loves her in a sincere and genuine way....but then I guess there won't be anything left to watch because they'll be back together by episode 20. BUT I love it when they work as a team and face the world together and I think audiences would like to see more of that too!

I like how the drama breaks the stereotype of girl falling in love with the first guy she meets. With this one, it took her a while to decide which one is best for her! It's also refreshing for the guy to fall in love at first sight, instead of the girl.
