I started watching episode 6, and decided to dropped in lesse than 20 minutes. The fact that Sa Ra was imprisoned…
I was angry she did slap the demon ex-in law until they showed the flashback where Se Ra realized she was on camera. I think/hope the footage will pop up later.
Been waiting for him to have his not "bright idea." I knew it was coming. Seo Yeon's ah-pa is the most incompetent laughable villain ever. He's like the cartoon villain that gets beat every episode by his own stupidity and falls into the heroes lap. His mother on the otherhand is the stuff of nightmares.
I just finished the first episode and I liked it. Gotta agree with Tendo. She's creepy. Ok you fall for a doc @ 17 but coming to his hospital and confessing 5 years later and staring hopefully with that wide grin...creepy. The little drawing and stuff...ew.
I was wondering what would happen since Lee Sun Kyun's death, but looks like they replaced him with Jo Jin. I don't hate it. Don't love it either, but I don't hate it. They changed the name, too.
Love Don. Glad to read a bit about his plans. Pretty soon Hollywood won't be any competition to SK or HK . (If Japan would actually put some $$ into filming quality, I'd include them as well.) The USA is no longer the box office leader. China is. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the writing on the wall. SK can surely become industry leader because the days of Hollywood being about creativity and making the best product ever have long passed. When blockbusters started pulling in billions and we saw the onslaught of the big budget sequel in the 70s and 80s, Hollywood became all about the almighty dollar. There's a lot of wasted talent. It's a damn shame.
I'm Straw Hatting it, but it is on Amazon Prime. Only "free" (like we don't pay for Prime) if you have a Kocowa membership. There's a trial. If I hadn't started, I'd wait until it's close to it and do the trial a few days before the last 2 episodes.
I usually dislike the couples or at least the main in these type of dramas, but I am loving all of them. I even loved the scene when the evil af old man brought his wife the stolen fruit. I thought he was cute and the scene was sweet.
Idk if he will save ji soo because if he didn't die, will ji soo be walking with the model that night? Will that…
Why wouldn't she be? Her life didn't revolve around him. He didn't even know she had published. Not to mention he worked in a pub or something at night. Plus, Death said it was her destined time.
Gotta admit I didn't like the end very much. That means a psychopath serial killer is going to get away. I guess psycho will kill his secretary because the cop won't be there to stop it. At least we know the serial killer only had a month.
There should have been a scene showing Yee Jae popping up at the right time to save/ help his incarnations that deserve helping like the boxer getting out of juvie and the boy. Plus, if he waits long enough, he'll know where the gangster will hide all that money.
We all know hell make an attempt to save Ji Su. The question is will he be able to. I hope they do some kind of special.
The acting in this half was spectacular. The first 4 episodes were good but the last four were outstanding, especially episodes 2 and 3. They had some of my favorites like Oh Jung Se and Kim Won Hae in this half.
Thanks for taking the time to compile this list. Congrats on cleaning out your PTW. I should do that....one day. LOL I agree with you. One Piece doesn't belong on MDL. I was shocked to find it on her. It's an American production of a Japanese manga/anime, but it's still from the USA. What Japanese actor? Mackenyu? He was born and raised in LA, so technically...ok he has duel citizenship because of his dad, but still. Seeing your list, I wish it wasn't because an actual Japanese production like Vivant should probably have that spot.
Was Tales of the Nine Tail actually horror? Nothing I read about it made it seem remotely frightful. I'm so tired of crappy horror.
Thanks for the TVB Everywhere link. <3
1- 27 2- SK with Japan close behind 3-Mystery, Action, Thriller are my top 3 in that order. I'm not big on romance. I wish they'd stop forcing unnecessary romance into everything. 4-I gave them 9's: Divorce Attorney Shin (overall 8.3); Dr. Cha (overall 8.2); Stealer (7.8); Hyakuman Kai Ieba Yokatta (7.5) 5- Vivant For some reason it was not listed as a top drama in my Year End Review, but I gave it a 10 and it has an overall score of 8.1. Is it perfect? No. Is it a masterpiece? No. Is it compelling? Yes. The Japanese have always been master storytellers. They just weren't masters of style and without the old guard of direction and cinematography at the helm, their visual quality started to fall off drastically in the 2000s. Recently, they've been making strides at improving. Along came Vivant a sweeping spy story taking place in 3 countries (2 real and 1 fake). The audio is in Japanese, Mongolian, and a little English. It's an interesting look at how one of the world's major nations may deal with terrorism and just what may make the so-called terrorist resort to such activities. The socio-politcal aspects were interesting. And then there's Drum, the most lovable mute you ever did see.
The Killing Vote I gave it a 9 and it has an overall score of 8. The Killing Vote is also a great socio-political study wrapped up in mob psychology and murder. Is it murder when the predominate amount of a country votes to kill someone? Are you then the executioner carrying out the people's will or a mass murderer? Aside from pondering those questions, I was just entertained. Any more would be a spoiler. 6-Better than it has been in previous years. The availablity of good (well timed and understandable Japanese subs probably added that). 7-I don't make watching plans because I never follow them. My wish is similar to yours, more mystery, thrillers, scifi, and horror with well done English subs or even dubs.
Yes, I think they must have been.
