This is so spot on. He was relentless and would not stop until his goal achieved but they can be given the benefit of doubt because he had not committed these acts prior to the marriage. Also these facts contradicts this show as they attribute his killings to his wife's machinations

The strife was an extension of the fight for the foundation of the country. Jeong Do Jeon and Po Eun wanted the king to be a figure head and officials to rule in their place but bang won was against this , he wanted ultimate power ... This is why them portraying him as weak in this show irks me
