This was an easy watch. One of those romances which just breezes by. Pros: Enjoyed the characterization and performance of ZJM as the FL Great female role models for the FL Healthy relationship between FL and ML
Cons: Too many episodes (the story would have been great in 24 or less) SWL (Handsome actor but did not grab the moments/emotions in terms of acting) Always left me feeling less than engaged A little too much of propaganda on China and its advances
The story is cliché and seen many times, but the acting and comedy are good except ML. First things first I like FL character as she is strong and level headed and kind. Cecilia did an amazing job bringing the FL character with her quirky behavior and outrageous outfits to life. I have never seen a cdrama where the FL is "intentionally " given a on-your-face wardrobe and yet the actress could manage to keep our attention on the personality and not the persona! I liked Eden Zhao in LCDF a lot but unfortunately in this drama he just left me cold. He did not look involved in the ML character at all. The other characters are engaging and the drama on the whole is entertaining.
