only a very short section right in E01 and after that the fact that she's from the modern times doesn't contribute…
she did help out the famine refugees with how to have to save water etc. plus medication etc, later a bit on court matters and battle... the modern twist comes back later at the last episode.....
without spoiling too much.... qianyue and rongjing got back together in the historical world but they had to part as she is "disappearing" and she promised to wait for him, to meet again in a thousand years.... but the whole thing is a book. both ml and fl are together in the modern world. fl felt that she has experienced everything in the book..... and the happy ending comes when he takes her to register their marriage... :-)

I think its cos no sub, roller coaster, too many evil characters (jealous women and empiral throne fights), sad plots... I personally like it and saw already the end trailers.. happy ending...

oh have you gone past the adv eps 25 onwards? they are good... I don't normally watch the Qing and republican era (I'm even hesitating to watch Steven Zhang's the justice) but this one I kept on becos it resonates closely with what my great grans talked abt, also beautiful cheongsam, and the consistent dignified character of Yuanzhi... ep25 got me a bit teary at the scene where he became the head tailor and encouraged disciples to learn from him... I also like Lijun..... but .. (ranting) yeah I didn't fancy the 30 year conflict, Yao Yao marrying into the enemy but what to do she and Mosheng are made for each other wickedly... and I feel sad for the teacher mother (shi niang) to have to move into the enemy's home!! arrrgghh!! but yeah great that Yuanzhi got a business angel, so lets see how it goes back in beijing... waiting for the next adv release :-)) so Im not dropping... yet, I hope not :-D
